I found this great restaurant on glutenfreerestaurants.com.

I drove 35 miles to this restaurant in Westchester county from Long Island and it was certainly worth the trip.

The owner is extremely knowledgeable about celiac and how to prepare safe gluten-free meals. The grill in this restaurant is exclusively gluten-free. They offer gluten-free pastas, chicken, fish, veal, steaks and so much more. It was a great experience and I highly reccommend it.

I headed there to see if anything is listed in my area. What happened to the midwest? Not a single listing. Bum.

You folks in the NE are so lucky.

Funny you should mention this place. We were just randomly talking about it over dinner about an hour ago.

Can I ask what you got there?

I went there when I was first diagnosed, had one of their pasta dishes and thought it was horrendous. I think I took about 3 bites and then just pushed the food around my plate.

I was just saying at dinner tonight how thank G-d I had already tried gluten free pasta for myself before going here otherwise I might have assumed that all gluten-free pasta was awful.

All that said, it was over a year ago that I was there and it is very possible they have changed pastas and made improvements since then.

Glad to hear you had a good experience.

I did not eat any of the pastas since I eat that at home. We ordered the Chicken Malanzana (has eggplant, mozzarella, and prosciutto) and the grilled rib steak. They were excellent. I still reccommend this place. Sorry to hear that your pasta was bad. I'll ask which brand they use before I order next time.

Hmmmm... well both of those sound yummy. Maybe I'll have to give them a second chance.

I'm finding it slightly humourous that I live in Westchester and drive out by you to go to Mama's and you live in Long Island and are driving by me to go to Ciao. LOL!!

My brother and sister-in-law live up in Westchester so that's why we are up there. Besides there are more gluten-free restaurants in Weschester ( 8) than on Long Island (2). I like Mama's but I've gotten sick with their chicken parm twice. Have you tried Four Doors Down in Buchanan? I'm thinking of going there next.

Is there any update about this restaurant? We are going to a party there. Just seeing if I can safely order a meal for my daughter. I called and they assured me they can do a safe gluten free meal and they've had no complaints.

In the 10 years since the last post, this place may have figured gluten-free out.  So I wouldn't trust any reviews that old.  You might check "Find Me Gluten Free" and see if there are newer reviews

      So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.

      I used to be able to get the Rivera yougut i havent been able to get it lately. I like getting it did say it did say gluten free. I just looking for a good yogurt that gluten free that i can add some fruit and nuts to any suggestion would be helpful  thanks
