Spaghetti-os!

I just cooked some gluten free animal pasta (Mrs. Leeper's Just for Kids), topped it with spaghetti sauce and called it spaghetti-os. The girls loved it and said it tasted just like the real thing! It is so nice to find something that makes them feel normal again.

My daughter loves that pasta, especially in soup. But if you want something already made up that tastes just like Spaghetti-Os, try the Organ in the little cans. It is delish! Although a bit expensive. I buy it a case at a time to get the case discount. I like to keep it onhand for when I have no leftovers to send in her lunch at school or if she is visiting a friend at lunch time. That way I know she will have something to eat.

I do this too with Tinkyada Little Dreams pasta. Even my gluten-eating son likes it.

My almost 3 year old daughter loves this too :)

This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):

Wheat flour is fortified with vitamins in the U.S. as a part of USDA policy. Gluten free facsimile products are not fortified. There is no government mandate for such. When you remove wheat flour by going gluten free, you may be removing a significant source of vitamins.
