My SIL said she heard it does, but on my toothpaste it pretty much says flouride. Does anyone know if toothpaste has gluten?

Does anyone know if ventolin inhalers have gluten. I can't use the no brand one because it gives me the shakes like you wouldn't believe. I can take VENTOLIN though and I don't get the same side effects from it, does anyone else have this issue?

Thanks to anyone who can give me any insite on these two issues.

As for the toothpaste, crest toothpastes are all gluten free. I think colgate is as well, but you might want to double check on that.

According to this website, Open Original Shared Link, the inhaler is okay, too. Check out the site, it's been a great help to me!

I use crest wtih no problems. However, somone said that one of Tom's toothpaste had gluten. I never used Tom's so I do not know this for sure. Nor did I look into it to see if it was correct. Plus that was several years ago and things change. What toothpaste do you use?

I use crest and it doesn't seem to bother me, but I've heard Tom's Of Maine is gluten free so I bought some, but the taste was HORRIBLE - IMO LOL!! I'm glad to hear that crest isn't suppose to have gluten. I use the cool mint gel though so I hope that one is also gluten free!!

There are two toothpastes I know of that contain gluten - Sensodyne and one other sensitive tooth toothpaste (not crest or colgate or tom's).

I use Tom's. This is from their website,

"Only two of our products contain gluten:

Natural Moisturizing Hand Soap liquids (Contains wheat protein)

Natural Moisturizing Body Wash (Contains wheat protein)

All other Tom's of Maine products are free of any ingredient derived from wheat, rye, barley, or oats, nor are our ingredients processed with derivatives of those grains. As such, they should not be considered a potential source of gluten.

The glycerin we use in our products is derived from coconut, palm kernel oil, and palm oils. It is not derived from corn, is not genetically modified, and is not a potential source of gluten."

I recently contacted Tom's to check if their toothpaste was not only gluten-free but casein-free and soy-free as well. They confirmed it is gluten-free and CF, but it may include soy. Here is their response:

>> Dear Leonard,

>>

>> Thank you for your e-mail. All Tom's of Maine Toothpastes are gluten-free and casein-free. All of

>> our Toothpastes do contain vegetable glycerin, which is sourced from vegetable oils. One of the

>> sources of that vegetable oil can be soy.

>> I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if I can assist with anything else.

>>

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
