What's a blog?

It appears to me that it's like a journal or something where you can keep thoughts (journal maybe) and give info. about yourself and such and that others can check out your blog if they're interested. I've never been involved with a 'forum' or anything like that, so I don

Kathy, the forum is not a blog. Here you exchange information with other people. But you can start your own blog as well, as that feature is part of this site, too. Click on 'blogs' up above, and there will be a link where you can sign up to have your own blog. And yes, a blog is like a journal. There you can pretty much say anything you want (within board rules, of course) and can ramble on and on if you want to. People can read it if they want, and comment (if you allow that feature, you have choices).

So, the forum is interactive and what you say is supposed to either help others, or be informative, or you ask questions. On the other hand, the blog is a journal (but can be sort of interactive). It is primarily for your own benefit. It is nice to have both.

lmvrbaby Newbie

Hi, I signed up to do the blog but after going through all the controls of what can be done and so on and so forth, I can't seem to find where I go to actually write in it. I have gone over the pages again but I get to a page that says lmvrbaby blog but can not write in it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
