Is One Of Our Members Buried Under 100" Of Snow?

My memory has left me, but I I seem to recall that one of our members lives in Oswego, New York and they already have 100 inches of snow and more is predicted.

Could it be Christian? Adrian?

Please help me remember.

I saw them showing Oswego New York on the news today, it was a winter wonderland. It did look pretty but that is a lot of snow. I hope all is well for our member who lives in that area.

I thought it was Richard but I checked and he's Oneonta. They're getting snow too! I can't believe that! And they're expected to get 2-3 more feet!

That is so much snow!

What about global warming?

Must be a myth.

I was watching either on tv or aol news and they were interviewing a resident in Oswego. This person said they expect this amount of snow every winter and 93" is the norm, I was thinking, OMG, I would hate that. In my apartment, I would not beable to see out even. Here on Long Island, New York, we have had maybe an inch of snow, just traces otherwise and that is just fine with me!

I'm from Syracuse, and my family still lives there. They (Syracuse) have a yearly average snowfall of around 150". Up there, it takes a lot for the snow to interfere with daily living.

The Oswego area and also Mexico (NY) are used to getting large amounts of snow--they're right in the middle of the "snow belt". To get this 100" *all at once*, of course, is a lot even for them!

I do hope that everyone there is doing ok--they know how to handle this kind of thing though.

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

Thanks to both of you for your responses!  Sadly, even after several years of very strict gluten avoidance, I remember the symptoms well enough that I am too frightened to risk a gluten challenge— heartbeat and breathing problems are scary— Scott, thank you for the specific information— I will call around in the new year to see if I can find anyone. In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
