About Silent Celiacs...

Asymptomatic celiacs feel no symptoms associated with celiac disease, yet intestinal damage is occurring and the continued ingestion of gluten can result in any number of associated conditions.

Most of these people were discovered as a result of testing because they had relatives with celiac disease, and recognized the importance of testing despite a lack of symptoms.

Question that was asked: "If I don't feel the effects of gluten, why should I go gluten free?"

Answer: Intestinal lymphoma or shortened life expectancy. Lymphoma is 40 TIMES MORE COMMON in untreated celiacs. The mortality rate is TWICE as high for untreated celiacs. The more delayed the diagnosis (and treatment by going gluten free), the higher the mortality rate.

      I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
