I just thought this was so cute, I had to share...

My daughter has been having a really rough time with her lunch today. First, she dropped her fork on the floor. Then, she dropped a forkful of macaroni on the floor. Then, she stabbed herself in the cheek with the fork. Then, she choked on her milk and spit it out all over herself. Finally, she started eating her hot dogs. All was going well until one broke while she was trying to put it in her mouth. She looked at me, took a deep breath, and said "mommy, that's it! I've had it! Hot dog, you're in a time out!" And that was that, she set the hot dog aside and continued on with her meal, with no more problems I might add.

Yeah, I got a really good laugh out of it. Mostly because once I started laughing she asked me "does that tickle?" She always thinks that I'm being tickled when I laugh. :)

      I don't think any apps are up to date, which is exactly why this happened to you. Most of the data in such apps is years old, and it doesn't get updated in real time. It's very important to learn to read labels and understand sources of hidden gluten, and to know some general information about product labelling--for example in the USA if wheat is a possible allergen it must be declared on a product's ingredient label like this: Allergens: Wheat.

About 40% of the general population possess one or both of the primary genes known to be associated with the development of active celiac disease but only about 1% of the population actually develop active celiac disease. So, the gene test is an effective "rule out" tool but not an effective diagnostic tool.
