One Other Thing!

Sorry for so many messages today, but I did think of one other thing. Verlin and I both ate uncontaminated oats this past week. I made stuffed baked apples and used oats and raisins as the filler. Anyway, I got a little stomach upset, nothing bad. But Verlin, my husband, he has had diarrhea the past thre days, and I am now wondering if its the oats?

What do you think?

Reports have said Celiacs can react to protein of oats.

I have heard that celiacs, even with gluten free oats, can have trouble digesting them. It was recommended to me, when I bought my expensive bag, but its big, of gluten free oats, only to have a bit at a time, and only like once a week to start.. our bodies arent used to digesting that type of grain anymore (or something like that) but basically to take it easy on the oats, even if they are gluten free.

The proteins are similar from what I understand, so it is important to introduce them slowly.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
