Hi all

This is my first post. I have been long time lurker and just joined. I feel like I know many of you.

The last two parties at my office have been great. They noticed that I would come and not eat anything. So now they have fresh fruit along with the sweet and dairy . I feel included again.

Just wanted to let all of you know.

Sensitive to 21 foods including wheat, gluten, dairy, and tomato.

Susan,

Welcome to the boards--glad you have come out of the shadows and are here posting! This is a great place to get support for gluten and other dietary sensitivities--it seems like many of us have more than one!

It's great that not only did your co-workers notice, but they acted upon what they saw! You are in a rare spot to have people be so thoughtful. You are very lucky. :)

Hi there!

I do add my encouragement and support. It is so wonderful and rare that you find people who care enough to become involved. Good on you!!! That probably goes a long way in saying what a great person are and how many people care about you too.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you

Anyone else get pins and needles. ??? Burning feeling ? Heat makes it so much worse 😔  Winter is here.  I had to lower my thermostat because I couldn't take that hot air feeling 😔  Hopefully it goes away soon
