Weighing Food

I have noticed on a lot of lists that give calories for food, the meat is always listed by ounces. So I just bought a food scale so I can be more accurate, but with meat am I supposed to weigh it before or after cooking?

I think the weight is pre-cooking. I have given up on weighing and measuring my food portions. I use a smaller plate and bowl, and don't go back for seconds. I have a much easier time that way. Of course, my weightloss is slow, I average 1/2 lb a week. My new family doctor is delighted with that progress! The old one said it was too slow.

lol - "it depends". It depends on what you're looking up the nutrition information for. I believe the UDSA's Nutrient Database (you can google that term to get there) lists both cooked and uncooked.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
