I went Gluten free a few days ago. I was Dx'd 4-1, had biopsy 5-15...went Gluten free. My house is empty of gluten except for a few things for my son that I din't want to just throw away. Once they are gone, I'm not buying more. Since he suseptible to getting Celiac too, I'm going totally gluten-free at home.

So anyway I was getting lunch together...he wanted a Waffle(it has gluten) and I got out some rice cakes for myself. Well I made him waffle and poured soem rice cakes into a bowl. We went into teh living room and started eating. About half way through my rice cakes I realized that I didn't wash my hands after touching his waffle...multiple times!!!! I am payign for it now!!!!! Jeez LESSON LEARNED!!!!!!

Hey, don't beat yourself up! You're newly gluten-free. It took me MONTHS to get the hang of things, and I still sometimes forget to read labels.

Be nice to yourself. You've had a tough few years!

I was gluten free for 5 yrs and at Christmas time that year, I made puppy chow for my daughter and the people at work. The cereal I used did have malt in it and I didn't eat any, yet I must have not washed my hands or something because I was glutened that time.

It happens to all of us!

Let's see, I was cooking gluten free noodles for me and regular noodles for my family, tasted mine to see if they were done, and then tasted theirs. I have popped goldfish in my mouth, put a piece of the kids cereal in my mouth, and liked my finger after cutting birthday cake. I can't believe how much we put into our mouth without thinking. Hope the glutening doesn't last long.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
