How Long To See A Reaction?

One of my most obvious symptoms of what I think is gluten exposure is when I get "toxic poop"- my stools are liquidy and burn my skin when I pass them.

This morning I had normal, fairly firm stools- but then later this afternoon I had the toxic poop again. Very liquidy, it really hurt where it touched my skin on the way out- but no other symptoms since then.

I've been feeling achey and tired in general for the past week or so. I'm not sure if it's my fibromyalgia flaring up "for no apparent reason" or if I've been cross-contaminated somehow, or if I'm reacting to other foods (other than gluten) that disagree with me. I've had lots of gluten-free goodies in the house for my daughter so I ended up eating them even though I really shouldn't be eating any legumes (there's garbanzo bean flour in the ginger snaps). I also tested myself on goat milk and it made me stuffed up- so I know I can't handle ANY kind of dairy right now. :( That was about 3-4 days ago and my nose is now cleared, so I think the milk is out of my system now. In any case, the milk didn't mess up my GI system at all.

We've done some major housecleaning over the weekend, so I guess it's possible I got glutened while scrubbing the kitchen.

I think I've been careful with my diet today, although I'm not sure about yesterday (I made rice with raisins, and the raisins I've had since before the house was gluten-free.) Could I be reacting this afternoon from something I ate last night? Could it be from the coffee I had today away from home? Could it be completely random?

I don't have any answer; I just want to commiserate. Reactions can be immediate or happen anytime within the next 2 to 3 days. So it makes it difficult to tell. I drive myself nuts sometimes looking at my food diary and trying to see links. The last couples days I felt, oh to heck with it. I spend all this time listing what I eat and how I feel and I've yet to draw any good conclusions.

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
