I just returned from Costco's & it seems every time I go they have added a couple more gluten-free items.

Organicville BBQ sauce & salad dressings clearly marked gluten-free....

Beneditto chicken sausages gluten-free , two flavors.

Casual gourmet gluten-free meatballs & chicken sausage

Sharon's Sorbet

Plus all the other things gluten-free they have been carrying.

LOVE Costco's

Wish our costco in Hawaii had the Organicville and Beneditto.

last time I checked in Feb. the only thing marked gluten free was the vitamins and one terrible tasting salad dressing whos name I forget. They carry Adeles Sausages many of which are gluten-free and very good. No gluten-free bbq sauce though but I'll check again on Tuesday.

This is a stupid question, but I am pretty knew to this... are you reading labels or does Costco have a list i can pick up at customer service?

kenlove Rising Star

No list at the costco here, spent 3 hours reading labels!

Costco in general does not have any gluten free lists and does not clearly disclose gluten in their Kirkland labels. Although I have heard that some Costco stores might have a list, my store does not have one. I usually stick to brands I know and avoid Kirkland brands. I mostly got my membership for the gluten free rotisserie chicken and shredded cheese, but I still can rarely get out of there without spending $100. ;)

They don't have a list, but more and more of the products sold at Costco are labeled gluten free. If things aren't labeled gluten free, you can email Costco with the product name and number, and they will check to see if it's gluten free. Here are some items that are gluten free at Costco: Kirkland rotissiere chicken, Kirkland "shortcuts" chicken, Kirkland chocolate covered raisins, Kirkland trail mix, Perdue frozen boneless chicken breasts, Riceworks Sweet Chili chips (yum!!), and other brands of chicken charbroilers, chicken sausages.

The Kirkland rotissiere chicken is not gluten-free in Hawaii. I think it's probably a good idea for people to check their individual stores.

That's to bad that the rot chicken isn't gluten-free in your paradise! Would you like to change habitats for a few winter months? I can go without rot chicken for a few months for beautiful weather & scenery!!!!!

Our costco R. chicken is marked gluten-free on the label. Now Sam's Club contains gluten.

We like the wild Alaskan Sockeye salmon too....

Well if your up near Eagles Mere or Sonnestown PA -- I might think about it ! Beautiful area.

No Sams club here but the groceries all do chicken and all of them have soy sauce on them so I just make my own.

Our small local markets buy directly from fishermen so although we dont get salmon we do get great daily choices of just off the boat fish. I'm addicted to blue marlin steaks!

These products are not available in my local costco. Does anyone think that they'd be available at Costco.com? Gluten-free products are a hit and miss here. The ones that are available on a regular basis don't taste very good either.

Please note that Kirkland's chocolate covered raisins have new labeling that states they are processed on dirty equipment (equipment that also processes items with wheat and nuts, etc.). The product looks different also. The size of each choc-covered raisin is much bigger than previously. I am told the bite sensation is different as they are harder now, almost as if they are stale. So at least we aren't missing much.

But you have Ahi, lots and lots of ahi. Then you can make ahi poke. I had to go to 4 grocery stores in CT to find Ahi in August.

Is there a digestive enzyme that helps build a healthier gut? I see people taking them but not sure what really works

So the tTG-IGA at 28 is positive for celiac disease. There are some other medical conditions that can cause elevated tTG-IGA but this is unlikely. There are some people for whom the dairy protein casein can cause this but by far the most likely cause is celiac disease. Especially when your small bowel lining is "scalloped". Your Serum IGA 01 (aka, "total IGA") at 245 mg/dl is within normal range, indicating you are not IGA deficient. But I also think it would be wise to take your doctor's advice about the sucraid diet and avoiding dairy . . . at least until you experience healing and your gut has had a chance to heal, which can take around two years. After that, you can experiment with adding dairy back in and monitor symptoms. By the way, if you want the protein afforded by dairy but need to avoid casein, you can do so with whey protein powder. Whey is the other major protein in dairy.

hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents   . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood test that day. i just got my results back and it indicates celiac disease i think 😭   im honestly happy bc now i KNOW and i can go gluten free. and i am SO MAD at this doctor for dismissing me for a simple blood test that wouldn’t have cost her anything !!!!!!!!!!! im sorry, im so emotional right now, i have been sick my whole life and never knew why, i feel so much better already   my results from labcorp:   Celiac Ab tTG TIgA w/Rflx Test Current Result and Flag Previous Result and Date Units Reference Interval t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 01 28 High U/mL 0-3 Negative 0 - 3 Weak Positive 4 - 10 Positive >10 Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) has been identified as the endomysial antigen. Studies have demonstrated that endomysial IgA antibodies have over 99% specificity for gluten sensitive enteropathy. Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 01 245 mg/dL 87-352

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.
