Mine too, GO COUGS!

jerseygrl Explorer

GO COUGS, indeed!

You know, if this research pans out, I can see a new Coug commercial before the games where someone inquires about a great gluten free grain

that has been developed -- someone then mentions that is was developed at Washington State University..... then the inquirer says,

Ah, GO COUGS!"

(I apologize, those of you who aren't from WAZZU probably won't get it... it's a Coug thing ;)

BTW, celiac-mommy, I'm originally from Richland, now in NJ. Where are you from?

What's a COUG doing in Jersey?

I'm a Husky (sorry) but am also saying GO COUGS on this. (My brother is a COUG, does that help?)

Laura, what's a Coug doing in NJ, you ask? Well, I spend 1/2 my life in WA (it will always be home)

1/2 in Southern Cal (surrounded by thee o so humble Trojans, ugh!) and now

Jersey. Hubs got an offer here he couldn't refuse, heh heh. Actually I love it here.

We live in northern NJ. There is a road near our house that always reminds me of

Okanogan *sighI* And only 45 minutes from NYC.

It's okay if you're a Husky. I never kick a dawg when he's down (sorry, couldn't help myself, *giggle*)

But a least you have a Coug in the family.

That's right, Jestgar. Just when you least expect it, you'll find us. :D

I'm originally from Toledo WA. I was quite a disappointment (in jest only) to my family, they're all Huskies. My cousin played football there-UW-so they had the rest of my life planned out in Seattle, with a football player... I instead met a Coug loving, business/finance majoring, frat partying, WSU only man and married him 2 years later (our 10th anniverary is Aug 1!). It all worked out the way it was supposed to, and now I'm through and through a COUG!!!!! Sorry dawg lovers :D

Very exciting study.

I am neither but I live in Wa. does that count for anything? My daughter plans on being one of them, I just don't know which yet (she is only 16 we have a few years to decide).

I'm a Dawg fan, but I'm partial to the arboretum. Every spring I rent a boat from the U and paddle on over. It is so beautiful there.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
