Delicious Easy Brownies

Hi everyone. This is Linda- gluten free since 11/04. (Also egg intolerant.)

Had to pass along my excitement after making a batch of Pamela's egg free chocolate brownies. My nonceliac hubby and I ate them last night out of the oven and then again today ( not warmed up) and they are DELICIOUS!! You can't tell there is any difference at all.

I bought the package of chocolate brownie mix at Whole Foods in NY, but I know you can also buy it online.

The egg free recipe calls for water, oil and appleauce + nuts if you want.

I had the cookies made by Pamela in the past, so I thought maybe these brownies would be a good try since the cookies always tend to be pretty good.

Just wanted to pass it along. Especially for those of you with kids or a sweet tooth!

Take care,

Linda

Oh they are so great!!! I made them the "eggless" way and I loved it. I made them for my Daughter who is on the gluten-free diet. But everyone in the house had no clue! My daughter had a playdate on Sat. and the little boy who came over was so thrilled with the cookies he took some home. (I made them cookie style)

The best brownie receipe I found was the "make from scratch" on the Bakers Square box. Just substitute the flour with your gluten-free flour.

My husband says they are better than any other brownie.

As far as I know and I have made severalonline searches, celiac disease disease has not been recognized as a cause of migraines or any eye problems. What I wrote must have been confusing.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
