Seasonal Allergies

So what are the best home remedies/supplements for seasonal allergies? We try to avoid OTC'S. My dd went running yesterday and woke up today a couple of hours early with sneezing, blowing the nose and all that suffering. I told her spring has sprung where she is. She is allergic to wheat, pet dander, dust, not sure what else. What works for you?? Thanks for your advice!

:)

I'm a big fan of nasal rinsing. Currently Ds and I are using the Neilmed product. You can get it in packs of 2 with extra powder mix-in packets at Costco. They sell individual kits in many mainstream drugstores. I've been rinsing using another method for years but it's difficult for Ds to do. The Neilmed bottles are very easy for him to use. I used to use a wide mouthed teacup, a cup of warm water and a 1/4 tsp. of salt. I still do if I need to get further back cleaned out-throat, tonsilis etc. And I gargle with some of the water too. Press one nostril closed. Submerge the other in the tea cup of salt water and draw(suck) the water up through the nostril. It will come back out through the throat. If you don't fully submerge the nostril, you may get some air and that doesn't feel good. The salt only balances the ph to match that of your nasal passages so shouldn't hurt. Some people add some baking soda too but I'm not sure how much. If you use the Neilmed, the water will come out through the other nostril.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
