Digestive Issues Please Help

hi, I have been gluten free for about 7 weeks now and all of a sudden I have been digestive issues and can't stay away from the bathroom. I haven't had any gluten that I know of. I have been eating pears, fish, oranges,lettuce,natural peanut butter, peanuts, grapefruit slices...so I am real confused. It started about 4 days ago when I ate some new blueberries and new blanched almonds from a different store than usual. I continued to try quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat at this time which added to the problem but today I had no grains or seeds of any kind and still..

Is this part of the healing process? what am I doing wrong. I can't stand this.

Many on this board report that CC will give them problems for a number of days, so you may still be feeling the effects from those contaminated items (if indeed they where).

Well, from the diet you described, I'd highly recommend some changes there. Do you eat fresh veggies? Since peanuts are somewhat tougher to digest, I think I'd avoid that for now. Same with almonds and other nuts. Citrus can also be problematic, so you may need to cut down on that too.

Are those the only foods you've been eating?

I agree with all the Rice Guy has said, he always gives good advice :) so all that I have to add is to keep a food diary and become your own detective at what is bothering you. You are so new into healing and sometimes its best to keep it simple in the beginning with all fresh foods. As Rice Guy says citrus fruits can be hard to digest for some (I still can't) and it maybe too soon to add in the buckwheat (be careful some can be cc in the manufacturing process so get a reliable brand) and other grains you are not used to. When I discovered the fructose malabsorption it sounded so much like me that I was excited to test it. I ate a tablespoon of pure whipped honey and sure enough in a half hour I was in the loo :o Also, I thought sweet baby ray's was glutening me lately but the first ingredient is High Fructose Corn syrup! Honey and High fructose corn syrup are extremely high in fructose vs. glucose, so those products will tell you quickly if you have a problem. I've been keeping a food diary for 1 1/2 yrs and was able to see that I haven't felt well on high dairy days and anytime I've had too much high fructose. Food diaries help so much. Hope you find your answer!

      Hello, no I had to have them re done and then used a liner over the top.  Many dentists are not aware of the celiac effects.  Best of luck.   There is other material, yet, very expensive.

      He is not just a psychiatrist.  He is also a neuroscientist.  And yes, I have already read those studies.   I agree with benfotiamine.  This is short term while glutened/inflammation occurs.  As I had already mentioned, these symptoms no longer exist when this phase passes.  And yes, I know that celiac is a disease of malnutrition.  We are working with a naturopath.
