:) I really miss my snacks since going gluten-free, and I've been eating sooo much chocolate it's insane! I didn't realize my favorite dessert RICE PUDDING! was gluten-free (without me making it myself of course!). Today I bought a container of Kozy Shack's Rice pudding with raisins and i noticed it said GLUTEN FREE right on the container! I was ecstatic! It's so wonderful finding treats that actually acknowledge that not everyone can enjoy gluten.

Try Kozy Shack!! It's wonderful!

thanks, i will look out for it, dont know if ill find it brisbane, australia though. B) i went through eating a lot of cadbury milk chocolate too... i ate that much it put me off.

Not only is the gluten free diet helping my intestines it must be helping my overall health too. I have never ate so well in my life, i dont ever remeber feeling so well & untired. abit too untired.. im struggling to sleep.

I also have always loved rice pudding.. it must have been my body telling me to stay away from cake.. lol..

 Sally, well if you can't find in Australia then i suggest making it at home. it's really simple... but it so nice when someone else does it for you :) .

Chocolate is wonderful, but sometimes you do need something else to fill the cravings.

Thanks for responding!!!

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
