I Feel Like I'm Starving

I haven't been officially diagnosed yet but I'm fairly certain I have celiac. Biopsy came back with cell changes but they weren't sure if it was due to stomach acid or celiac. Had a blood test done and will find out tomorrow. In a way I'm hoping for a positve so I can finally figure out whats wrong with me.

Here are my main symptoms, can anyone relate?

1) After eating a few hours later I fell like I'm starving and need to eat again

2) mind fog- can't concentrate . This is really annoying. My mind just feels cloudy all the time

3) feel like there is pressure in my head and have a weird cracking popping noise in my head

4) fatigue

5) weird ratcheting in my neck. When I move my head up and down it kind of ratchets. It's weird

I don't have any gastro symptoms but I don't have a colon either so I always have the runs

Anyone else have any of these?

I got most of those. Never really had any gastro issues.

If there is damage to the villi, technically you are starving. You are incapable of fully absorbing the nutrients of the food you are eating.

You don't know how many times I was laughed at by doctors describing the "head fizz".

If you are seeking out an official diagnoses you need to keep eating gluten during the testing.

Yep. I was so hungry I would get heartburn. The dr gave me prilosec and sent me to a dietician who wanted me to eat yogurt. Hmmm, taking corn syrup out of my diet did help for awhile which led me to atkins which led me to celiacs. Now I'm all celiacs and have the scars on my elbows and knees to prove it. So yep it all started with being so hungry I could out-eat my boyfriend and two of my teenagers. Incidentally, the teen I could not out-eat, has celiacs. One more thing, through all this overeating we never got fat. I was at the high side of normal and everyone else in the house is thin.

Take Care,

Are you having hypoglycemic attacks maybe?

I haven't been properly diagnosed, but i've gone Gluten Free and have never felt better. I had those symptoms as well. I thought i was Diabetic, but was not. Especially after eating Chinese food. I would feel like I was starved an hour later, yet my stomach would be in knots from cramps! I think it was the Sesame Chicken (Fried!) lol!

Thanks for the replies. So I'm still eating Gluten because I'm going through the testing stuff still and tonight I ate a bunch of pasta full of Gluten. About 30 min later my head was really buzzing. Couldn't concentrate, just had to go lay on the couch.

I've been feeling really hungry and having this mind fog crap since Dec. Really just want to figure this out...

Does anyone react the same way so quickly when eating Gluten? I'm talking about the mind fog stuff....

Brain fog and headache are my first symptoms and they happen within 30 minutes.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
