I have just been prescribed this medication because of a spinal compression fracture(have been taking it for four days), and have been for another DEXA scan today. From what I've read this is a comparatively new medication for treating osteoporosis and is delivered by nasal spray. Does anyone else take this or have any knowledge about it?

I've been using Fortical nasal spray for almost a year for my osteoporosis. I haven't been back for a bone scan, so I'm no sure if it's had any positive effects. I tried Boniva for a few months and had a bad reaction so the dr. decided to try this. From what I understand, it doesn't help to build bone density but just prevents you from losing any more. I haven't had any side effects from it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your comments Toni. It is something totally new to me. The insert with my prescription said that it could help increase bone density. I didn't even know I had degenerated to osteoporosis until I had a spinal compression fracture. The results of the scan will be interesting.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
