Hello,You Good People :D

First of all i'm so glad i found this board!

Second you will have to forgive me on my spelling and grammar being country boy still leaning computer language!

The symptom i have are odd so the doctors i have in counter over the year they look at me like I'm some alien when i tell them what i m going threw.

When i eat anything sweet or paste is when i have these spell are i have started to call them

When i wake in the morning i'm sore like i am every morning we will get to that in min.

My face turn a beat red more of fire engine red i get supper hot mainly in my face and next .

I feel very hot like running fever hot to touch all i can do is lat down and pray they will go away.

I also get short of breath and some time feel like my lung are on fire as well.

It has cause me to have asthma attack in the pass it take every thing out or me all i want to do is sleep when this happens .

Also when i urinate the smell is horrible will almost knock you off your feet!

They can last any where from 30 mins to two hours i feel like there some kind of drug knocking me out i can keep awake at these times.

The reason for the pain is i have four screws and four bolts and two plates in my back where i had back surgery four years ago.

In this time i have taken loritab the whole time i was wondering if the drugs could done something to me over the years to cause this.

Its been happening for at least two year now maybe longer i really need to find out what going on with me before it kills me or puts me in coma!

Thank you D

I am going to make 2 suggestions. One it wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor for a celiac panel. Second and perhaps more important is that you see an allergist. The reactions you are having sound like they could be allergic reactions. Do check and see before you make an allergist appointment to see if they will help with doing an elimination diet or test you for intolerances.

You need to see a doctor. If the doctor you're seeing has had you on Lortab for four years, then you need to think about seeing a different doctor. Here's the story on Lortab; it's the exact same material that's on the package insert, except it's large enough to read:

Open Original Shared Link

To see side effects, scroll down to the first sidebar on the left and click on Side Effects.

The stinky pee could be due to the Lortab; urine retention is one of the listed side effects and that would probably do it. The main concern is dependency, though, and four years is an awfully long time. What did you do to your back?

Regardless, welcome. It's possible that you have celiac disease; as ravenwoodglass points out, a doctor can give you a blood test that would be the start toward finding out. But think about seeing a different doctor, and think about whether there are alternatives to Lortab. I certainly don't want to see you in pain, but I don't want to see you addicted either. Best of luck.

No, I've not been diagnosed as celiac.  Despite Entero Labs being relocated to Switzerland/Greece, I'll be doing another test. After eating wheat products in Greece for 4 weeks, there wasn't any reaction.  However, avoiding it here in the states.   Thanks everyone for your responses.

Thank you @JulieRe so much for sharing this extra information. I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better and I hope it keeps moving in that direction. I feel I'm having so many lightbulb moments on this forum just interacting with others who have this condition. I also was diagnosed with gastric reflux maybe about 10 years ago. I was prescribed ranitidine for it several years back, which was working to reduce my gastric reflux symptoms but then the FDA took ranitidine off the shelves so I stopped taking it. I had a lot of ups and downs healthwise in and around that time (I suddenly gained 20 pounds, blood pressure went up, depression got worse, and I was diagnosed with OSA). At the time I attributed my change in symptoms to me taking on a new stressful job and didn't think much else about it. They did give me a replacement gastric reflux drug since ranitidine was off the shelves, but when I went on the CPAP for my OSA, the CPAP seemed to correct the gastric reflux problem so I haven't been on any gastric reflux drug treatment for years although I still do have to use a CPAP for my OSA. Anyway that's a long story but just to say… I always feel like I've had a sensitive stomach and had migraines my whole life (which I'm now attributing to having celiac and not knowing it) but I feel my health took a turn for much worse around 2019-2020 (and this decline started before I caught covid for the first time). So I am now wondering based on what you said, if that ranitidine i took could have contributed to the yeast overgrowth, and that the problem has just been worsening ever since. I have distinctly felt that I am dealing with something more than just stress and battling a more fundamental disease process here. I've basically been in and out of different doctor specialties for the past 5 years trying to figure out what's wrong with me. Finally being diagnosed with celiac one year ago, I thought I finally had THE answer but now as I'm still sick, I think it's one of a few answers and that maybe yeast overgrowth is another answer. For me as well, my vitamin deficiencies have persisted even after I went gluten-free (and my TTG antibody levels came down to measurably below the detectable limit on my last blood test). So this issue of not absorbing vitamins well is also something our cases have in common. I'm now working with a nutritionist and taking lots of vitamins and supplements to try and remedy that issue. I hope that you continue to see improvements in working with your naturopath on this. Keep us posted!

Hello everyone. I am Elena and am 38 years old. I suspect I have a gluten intolerance even if my celiac panel is ok. I have the following symptoms : facial flushing, Red dots not bumps în face, bloating abdominal distension, hair loss, depression anxiety even with meds and even bipolar. Fatigue extreme to the point of not being able to work. All of these after I eat gluten. Could I have non celiac gluten sensitivity? Thanks anyone else with these symptoms?

Hi Everyone,  I do appreciate your replies to my original post.   Here is where I am now in this journey.  I am currently seeing a Naturopath.  One thing I did not post before is that I take Esomeprazole for GERD.  My Naturopath believes that the decrease in the gastric acid has allowed the yeast to grow.    She has put me on some digestive enzymes.  She also put me on Zinc, Selenium, B 12, as she felt that I was not absorbing my vitamins. I am about 5 weeks into this treatment, and I am feeling better. I did not have any trouble taking the Fluconazole.

I'm sure it's chemically perfect. Most of them taste lousy!
