I have my Endoscopy booked for Monday afternoon, and this weekend concludes a very difficult period of wheat and gluten consumption. I am feeling absolutely TOXIC right now. Ugh. I've been over indulging in bread, cakes, cookies, ice cream....all the stuff I should never eat. I feel bloated, nauseous, sick and poisoned. This is nasty. Can't wait for Monday. I plan on doing a detox immediately after the Endoscopy...just fruits and vegetables for a few days and then slowly reintroduce lean meats and pulses. I can't believe how awful this food makes me feel. I just got my very positive Enterolab results so I'm feeling pretty upbeat and positive. I know what's wrong and I know how to fix it. Just got to get through 3 more days!

I have broken down a few times last week and ate gluten. I had funnel cake and some of my boyfriend's cheese bread sticks. I was just so hungry and there wasn't much for me to eat around here. I felt so sick afterwards. I was constipated and all bloated. I am currently unemployed and living on food stamps. It is very hard to keep stocked up on gluten free foods. I buy a lot of beans and rice, but I sometimes get tired of eating it. You can only east that so many days in a row before wanting some "real" food. I wish the prices on gluten free food would go down to that of "regular food." It would make it a lot easier.

I sympathize. It is really expensive. I go to Whole Foods sometimes (commonly known as Whole Paycheck) and am amazed when I get to the checkout! Do you try to bake thing from gluten free flour? I make some amazing gluten free orange cranberry muffins. It really helps break the monotony. In fact I think i should post the recipe in the recipe section!

I make my own pancakes and brownies. Sometimes I make cornbread and banana bread. The only premixed flour I buy is The Gluten Free Pantry Sandwich Bread mix. And that is cause I can't make a successful bread LOL

Good luck with the endoscopy. It sounds like regardless of the actual results, you know you have a gluten intolerance. It will be nice for you to be gluten free again.

I just got my test kit from enterolab and I am going to send in my sample. I am quite convinced that I have a gluten intolerance despite the fact that all my actual celiac testing has come back negative. I have been gluten free for 2 weeks and I am SOOOOOOO tired.

Thanks no-more-muffins! (great name btw!) Good luck with the enterolab test. I am sure you will be very glad you did it, as I was.

OK, so today is the last day of my gluten challenge and I am SICK! I feel so ill right now. I have had to keep talking to myself and telling myself just 2 more days, just 1 more day.... I cannot believe how ill this has made me. I feel poisoned. My belly hurts, I have terrible gas, diarrhoea AND constipation both together! The joint in my left foot is very painful and the gluten has made my Endometriosis very bad and I have severe pain in my hips and pelvis. I am nauseated and bloated. I have terrible heartburn. I just sat and ate my very last bagel...EVER! It feels very weird to write that, knowing I will never have another one. It sure tasted good but I can feel what it is doing to me and so it won't be hard to give them up.

Tomorrow is my endoscopy, but regardless of what it shows, I will be going gluten free for good as of midnight tonight. I will start with a 3 day fruit and vegetable cleanse, in order to clean and heal myself. I know I have caused some damage with this gluten challenge and it will take some weeks to get better, but psychologically I am glad I did it. I think I needed to show myself how sick I can get eating this junk. So today I shall spend time cleaning out the fridge and prepare to change my life forever. Clean fridge, clean body. LOL. Thanks for listening.

I am glad this is going to be over soon for you. You can make that bagel the last gluten item you ever eat since your endo is tommorrow. I do wish they would adopt the less barbaric mucosal challenge in this country. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.

I was commenting on the report saying it did not mention migraines! Yes it does last paragraph says have not seen any evidence that Celiac cause migraines! I thought this was about truth?

It has been known for some years that celiacs suffer from migraines at a higher rate than the general populatation. It is an established symptom.

I suffer so bad with migraines when I eat gluten! Yes diagnosed celiac disease n 2015 and it took me years to discover gluten was behind me having severe migraines.  So yes it happens there has to be others like me!

If black seed oil is working for his Afib, stick to it, but if not, I can say that ablation therapy is no big deal--my mother was out of the procedure in about 1 hour and went home that evening, and had zero negative effects from the treatment. PS - I would recommend that your husband get an Apple watch to monitor his Afib--there is an app and it will take readings 24/7 and give reports on how much of the time he's in it. Actual data like this should be what should guide his treatment.
