Teeth need pulled. Concern about gluten in the products but the level of pain i have i am not sure i should give a care. He gave me antibiotic tonight (gluten free) i checked. I got glutened somewhere. Either dentist with the cleaning and swallowed some, I did, bad gag reflex. or the gluten free dinner at olive garden i had once before with no issues wasnt gluten free tonight. Anyway, I will have to have novacaine on both sides. In the future i will ahve to see oral surgeon for surgical extraction of impacted teeth. I need 4-5 fillings also soon also.

After I was diagnosed I had an upcoming dentist appointment. I called ahead and told them my situation. They could not tell me then if their cleaning products etc were gluten free, but that they would check. It took a few days and they called me back and told me everything was alright. I have not had any problems at my two cleaning appointments or when I got my filling. The injectable numbing medication should not be an issue.

To my knowledge there aren't any dental products that contain gluten so you shouldn't have any issues. My guess is your glutening came from the Olive Garden. I've had a lot of work and fun surgeries and never been glutened (feeling crummy from swallowing stuff is another story). If you call ahead most dentists will check the products for you - many of them are labeled gluten-free so they won't even have to call the manf.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.

To evaluate the TTG antibody result we’d need to know the normal range for that lab.  Labs don’t all use the same units.  However, based on any normal ranges that I’ve seen and the listed result being greater than a number rather than a specific number, I’d say yes, that is high! Higher than the range where the test can give a quantitative result. You got good advice not to change your diet yet.  If you went gluten free your intestines would start to heal, confusing any further testing,
