Constipation And Fever

Hi, I have posted other questions on this forum about my problem with constipation that occurred after going gluten free (not before). I followed some of the advice from others and had one decent bm about a week ago and still am doing the same things suggested but am back to just a few tiny pellets and all the stools float. This is my 3rd week gluten free. Well, today I have not felt well and my whole body kind of just aches like flu and I have had a low grade fever 100.7 - 100.8 all day but took my temperature a while ago and now its 101.1. I am not sure if this is the flu or related to constipation. Does anyone have any advice?

If your fever continues to climb and gets to 102 or so you may want to check with your doctor. How much pain are you in? If you are getting a great deal of abdominal pain that would be another reason to contact your doctor. Are you sticking to whole unprocessed foods? That is going to be best at the beginning. It will lesson the chance of CC. It does take some time for your body to heal and your system to regulate and you may also be coming down with some type of virus. To my knowledge gluten or other intolerances are not going to cause a fever. I hope things improve soon.

I didn't ask before but it occurs to me to ask how much are you normally eating? What's a typical day's menu for you? Fever sounds like a virus but I agree if you are having a lot of abdominal pain with it, a visit to your dr might be in order.

Definitely see your Doc.

Also, if you still have a fever now might now be the best time, but you could try some vegetable based digestive enzymes. They help a great deal in digesting your food and cleaning out your colon if it happens to be clogged with undigested gluten or other waste.

Congrats! Can you share the recipe? We just picked up a bread maker from an estate sale and are experimenting.
