Blood tests are notoriously unreliable. My son and I both tested IGA positive, with negative IGG and TTG, yet we both have Celiac. IGA positive is a "less reliable" indictor for Celiac, because many kinds of inflammation can cause elevated IGA. Does your daughter have symptoms?

It means you should try the diet after all testing is finished. If she is having a biopsy wait until the day that is done and start the diet the minute the test is completed. You don't need to wait on the results and may have your answer by her response to the diet before you even go to the return visit to get them.

Symptoms of my daughter:

when we first got her onto food it was diarhea overload

SHe was/is very skinny. She use to have a pot belly

She looks anemic sometimes

She wakes up in the morning with stomach aches that seem to subside with breakfast

She has had bad allergies that seem to linger

My mom's symptoms - undiagnosed

Just passed away of intestinal cancer at 55

horrible migranes and long sleep patterns

histerectomy at 40

cold sores

bad dental issues (lots of brushing)

lots of tiredness

My symptoms (celiac panel came back normal)

looked like a 6th grader in 10th grade

skinny with belly most of life

Stomach issues

high blood pressure / heart palpulations

crazy headaches

crazy food poisoning or I thought

bad collar bone pain

crazy gerd

I hope you are getting on the diet as well despite those negative blood tests. It sure does look like you are both in the right place. I am sorry about the early loss of your Mom. Since I was finally diagnosed I often think of mine and wonder if she might still be with me if they had figured out how strongly celiac runs in our family. I think a couple of months into the diet both you and your daugther will feel like new people.

We are gluten free from here on out. One thing I've really gotten into as well is PH. I had no idea that a lower PH in the body actually mimics IBS symptoms and can lead to all diseases and cancer. I went to Lowes and picked up a pool test kit. My PH was in the gutter. Even though I was glutten free , I was still eating 100% acid. I'm changing that as well. I think some people who test neg but feel better after losing gluten is because gluten is PEGGED on the acid chart which lowers the PH and makes people sick. The reason everyone feels tired after a thanksgiving meal isn't the turkey, it's the fact that every item on the table is an acid, including the canned veggies.

      Welcome to the forum, @Mmoc! Please include the reference ranges for the IGA and the TTG tests in your next post if you have access to them. We cannot comment much otherwise as different labs use different reference ranges for these tests and also different units of measurement. There are no universal standards as of yet so the raw test numbers are not always helpful. Having said that, if your IGA (what we usually call "total IGA") is low, the TTG-IGA score will be skewed and cannot be trusted. Other kinds of tests for celiac disease would need to be run, particularly those in the IGG family of tests. Perhaps this will be helpful:

      Hi there any advice welcomed. I have had 4 years of symptoms ranging from immune related anaphylactic symptom sudden onset food allergy to peppers/paprika/chilli/capsicum family derivatives. all these allergies fizzled out and following a food challenge test in hospital I reintroduced them a few months ago. Since then my digestive system is a mess. i have since noticed that 4 years ago when testing for iga allergies my iga level was .62 and my ttg was less than .1 (due to symptoms I was probably eating very plainly at that time). should I insist on being retested for celiac? I’ve since read two indicators for celiac include: sensitive to spicy foods when in flare up tooth enamel weakness and symmetrical discolouration patches on teeth which I have had since childhood on my two front teeth     thanks

      This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

      Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

      Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
