I Think My Dog Is Trying To Kill Me.....

I got super excited when I wrote to a company that makes bacon flavored salts and they replied back that the salts were gluten free. I ordered up a three pack of their tasty concoctions only to receive them, read the label and see the words..." contains wheat". I left the containers on the counter since I couldn't eat them, I was going to give them to my mom so at least my 15.00 would not be wasted....

I came home from work the next day and my dog and gotten the containers off the counter and had the product strewn all over the floor, his dog bed and my bed!!!! After stripping the sheets, taking them outside, shaking them out and vacuuming up the mess....I felt a tightness in my face....about 3 seconds later, I had little pimple like blisters around my nose and mouth and they hurt like hell! Oh Crap, I thought to myself...I have been poisoned! I went to work the following day thinking the rash was all I would suffer...boy was I wrong. I am now on my second day of writhing pain on the couch. The anxiety and paranoia have returned...I haven't slept since Tuesday night..guess this is going to be my M.O.......stupid Gluten!

Thanks for listening to me vent...gotta take the dog out......

What a stupid company. You would think if they didn't know what gluten was they would have at least looked it up :o:rolleyes: Sorry you got sick. Your dog needs some training :P

Be sure to email or call the company to let them know how angry you are for getting a product that contained gluten after asking. They need to know how important it is to give the correct infomation. Ask for a refund too.

Woofie woof woof! That was the doggies saying he was just trying to protect mommy by eating all that nasty gluten himself. :D

I always specify 'does it contain, wheat, rye, barley or any of it's derivitives'. Some folks just don't know what gluten is. I am really glad you read the label before consuming.

IF you ever have to clean up powdered gluten again please do wear a face mask. When you breathed it in and it came into contact with those mucous membranes in your nose and mouth it got you.

I hope you recover quickly from this and that your little doggie friend doesn't end up with a belly ache himself.

I was thinking, if they tasted better the dog would have eaten all of it. lol

      I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets...

About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't.       I see it everyday on my feeds. They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts. I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field. Some days I would just like to scream. So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach...

Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver.After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
