Feel Like I Have Arthritis

Ever since accidentally eating gluten this past weekend I have been dealing with swollen joints in my knees, hands, and ankles, and I feel stiff. It hurts but I can manage. I'm just wondering how long before this settles down. I feel like an 80 year old...not good!

I thought it was improving a day or so ago, but today it is worse. :(

This is one thing I've started to experience and I never had it before going gluten free.

bone and joint pain where one of my mysterious ailments til discovering celiac. i am 6.5 weeks into gluten free and i'm still waiting for the pain to go away. i hear it takes several months. but hopefully you will feel better soon from the accidental glutening. drink lots of water and/or maybe try steeping fresh ginger root into a tea (if you can eat ginger). its a natural anti-inflammatory. my doctor told me to take advil to help with the inflammation but i don't really like to take meds if i don't have to. good luck! :)

Joint pain is something I had pre diagnosis. It went away within about 4 months gluten free. It came back with a vengeance yesterday when I got a serious glutening. I am so much better today already. I've been healing over two years. Recovery seems much faster now. You might want to revisit your diet, or maybe you just need more time.

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
