Detox Symptoms---Again?

O.k. well, I know from experience now that it's common to go through a detox period when you cut gluten out of your diet. I went through the so-exhausted-I-can-hardly-walk stage, and I've read about others who have, as well. This happened to me roughly 2 weeks into the g.f. diet, and lasted about a week and a half. Then I started feeling better.

But I'm now about 7 weeks into it, and it seems to be happening again! Started a couple of days ago, I just have no energy and can barely keep my eyes open. I'm back to crawling into my recliner again just to "rest" and end up waking myself later with a snore! :rolleyes:

Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? Can we go through different "stages" or "periods" of detox during the long healing process?

I would just advise you to go with it! I have other active viruses in my body and was Dx with CFS; however, you might want to review your diet and see if you possibly ingested gluten either directly or indirectly.

I am no waiting for a biopsy but have read online that if your EMA is positive then that pretty much confirms celiac.       Welcome to the celiac.com community, @mike101020! First, what was the reference range for the ttg-iga blood test? Can't tell much from the raw score you gave because different labs use different reference ranges. Second, there are some non celiac medical conditions, some medications and even some non-gluten food proteins that can cause elevated celiac blood antibodies in some individuals. The most likely explanation is celiac disease but it is not quite a slam dunk. The endoscopy/biopsy is considered the gold standard for celiac disease diagnosis and serves as confirmation of elevated blood antibody levels from the blood testing.

      Hey there, have you been tested for allergies? You may not only have celiac disease but be allergic. I have celiac disease and am allergic to Barley, wheat and rye.
