Emotional Changes

I'm remembering to be grateful... being gluten free is improving the quality of my life dramatically. It's helping me face problems that I never could before.

Yesterday I pushed my introverted self into a group activity. That was fine and stressful in all the normal ways. But when I came home I find that I can think through all my reactions about what I liked and did not like without being fuzzy headed about it. Like I said I'm grateful. But being able to feel my thoughts and feelings so clearly is overwhelming at times. Does that make sense?

Did others go thru this? I feel like in some ways I'm becoming a different person...plus I owe a lot of people a thanks for being patient with my head fuzz all these years.

It makes complete sense. I've been gluten free for a month. Today, for the first time ever, I did a drop in Burlesque class- it was the final class of the semester and within 30 minutes I was up in front of everyone doing a "chair dance" because everyone had been preparing a dance for the last 3 weeks to present to everyone. that's right, shy and afraid of groups of more than 4 people, I did a sultry, provocative dance in front of 10 strangers that was prepared only 10 minutes prior. I didn't even get the usual fears and anxieties or nervousness that usually accompany speaking up in class.

Hey, I've been through something similar, too. I've had severe social anxiety so that i've been housebound for the last year. Dropped out of highschool, stopped going outside. I have been one month gluten free, and suddenly I have signed myself up for going back to school, an anxiety support group, to hang out with a friend AND to volunteer. I'm not sure where I suddenly got the guts to sign up for all of these things!

I accidentally ingested gluten yesterday, and when I went outside to get groceries, I felt horribly anxious and uptight all over again. Also I tend to have mouth ataxia and I mumble a lot, which does not help with the introvert personality. It's great that you are beginning to open up and challenge your introvert ways. I'm glad to hear that somebody is going through something so similar.

This is really helpful  I had not considered sugar alcohols or inulin as triggers. Thanks for the practical baking tips too color coding and baking G F first makes a lot of sense. Thiamax (TTFD) plus a B-complex, and if you want benfotiamine, the Life Extension formula covers that at ~100 mg.

High fiber can definitely cause sudden GI distress especially if it’s a new addition but accidental gluten exposure can feel similar. Keeping a simple food/symptom log and introducing new gluten-free foods one at a time can really help you spot the pattern. Thanks for asking  I’m mainly looking for gluten-free staples and snacks. Any recommendations for brands or go-to items would be appreciated.

sorry a bit confused so I should take my B complex along with Objective Nutrients Thiamax for TTFD but what about a Benfotiamine to take. The Life extensions contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine together or im confusing myself. I am trying to see if I take Thiamax what should I take for Benfotiamine. Thanks EDITING after further research I see ones water soluble ones fat soluble. So I guess 100MG as you suggested of Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. and the Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     would work for me.

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.
