Rash Related To Gluten Intolerance Or Not?

My 1 yr old has a rash on the back of her right arm right above her elbow. It started bright red and looked like a rug burn, then it got this crust over the top that cracked and bled a bit, now its flaking and dry. The crust is coming off and it looks kind of like an old popped blister. She has never had a rash like that before. I was wondering if its psoriasis or if its a different problem perhaps related to her gluten intolerance?

It could be dh rash related to gluten. My daughter gets various rashes/hives depending on which foods she's eaten. So dairy gives her a butterfly rash on her face, corn gives her hives all over. Actually I'm the one who gets the dh rash and it's usually blisters concentrated around joints. My dh didn't look like a rug burn, it actually looks sort of like big huge acne. But I don't know how it would manifest in a baby.

      That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

      Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

      Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

      Does Dailymed.nlm.nih.gov site have filters for gluten?

      Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.

      To evaluate the TTG antibody result we’d need to know the normal range for that lab.  Labs don’t all use the same units.  However, based on any normal ranges that I’ve seen and the listed result being greater than a number rather than a specific number, I’d say yes, that is high! Higher than the range where the test can give a quantitative result. You got good advice not to change your diet yet.  If you went gluten free your intestines would start to heal, confusing any further testing,
