Initially at the time of my dx in 2006 - I had symmetrical itchy rashes that would not heal. They did once I went gluten-free. For several months I would still get the itch at the areas where the rash had been. It was good - as it soon taught me to eat gluten-free and where the hidden Gluten lurked!

Long story but I was at a function with family 4 days ago and as two of them say they are gluten-free as well - I ordered the same food as them. gluten-free Grilled fish. It came served on a bed of hot chips which freaked me so I made the girl ask the kitchen twice if they were gluten-free.

Within 5 mins I felt stomach pain which told me that the meal had Gluten. I have had symptoms ever since...so know it did. Now - I have this intense itchy hard ( not fluid filled ) lump on my upper foot. Could it be DH ? It is a bit red around now as well. I can barely put a shoe on - itchy as anything...

I have had them start like that. Mosquito bite-like. It could be a lesion beginning but if you don't get any more gluten maybe it won't make an oozy blister rash. I will be interested to hear what happens. Sorry about the gluten meal. It sucks knowing that you will be in for it. I hope it goes away soon. I use Walgreens brand of Pain Relieving Ointment. It numbs the pain and itch of DH and it is only benzocaine. Works great.

How do you add pics ? I found some cream and that seems to be helping the itch. Hope it goes away soon.

Thanks for sharing this! Have you started taking the Amneal? I'm curious how it's going for you. My pharmacy gave me the option of Accord, Macleod or Amneal. I didn't realize that Amneal was formerly Lannett, or I might have chosen that one. However, I did read some anecdotal reports that some people had side effects with Amneal, so I chose Accord. I have been taking it for 3-4 weeks and the past 10 days I have developed extreme fatigue/sluggishness, joint pain and some brain fog. I don't know if it is the new levo med, but nothing else has changed. Has anyone else taken Accord levo? Any issues? It seems to fall into the "no gluten ingredients, but we can't guarantee 100%, but it's likely safe category." I'm wondering if it is worth switching to Amneal or at least getting my thyroid levels checked. If the med is causing my symptoms, I'm guessing it's not because of gluten but maybe the potency is different from Mylan and I need different dosing. Accord was recalled for lower potency, but my pharmacist said the pills I have were not part of that lot.
