Costco gluten-free Products

Just recently found out that I have celiac. I love to shop at Costco. Anyone have a list of gluten free items (i.e. meds., supplements, personal care products, etc.)? I can't aford to continue to purchase items to find out later that they contain gluten. Thanks for the help.

Also, I did call and find out that the Kirkland brand of Ibuprofen and the Unscented Baby wipes that I already had, are gluten free. If I know ahead of time that a product is gluten-free, then of course I am more likely to purchase it. Thanks again.

Costco doesn't publish a gluten-free list because they bring products in on good deals and their inventory changes. Yes, some things are pretty much regular items, but there is enough variable that they don't publish a list. About the only way you can tell if an item is gluten-free is to read the label and/or call the 800 # during business hours to verify. I have shopped in Costco regularly for years and that didn't change when I was diagnosed 6 1/2 years ago. They are very good about having ingredients on all the Kirkland products and I have only seen a couple things that weren't their brands that I questioned the ingredient labels.

And so much more. Check labels but I have purchased items including Food Should taste So Good brand chips, Mission tortilla chips, dried fruit snacks, meat in bulk, Aiellos (sp?) sausage, etc

In their magazine they often note which products are gluten-free and had a good article in their June2010 magazine regarding celiac disease.

We tend to buy nuts, eggs, rice, and quinoa at Costco. We used to buy their soy milk but they changed the packaging and I really dislike the new packaging because it causes waste, so we may stop doing that.

The quinoa I get at Costco is the best deal on quinoa I have found ANYWHERE.

Thanks so much for sharing this information. At least it gives me an idea of what to look for. I could easily spend an hour in Costco before I was diagnosed; now there is no telling how long it will take me!

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
