I was glutened the other day by cc. Since then I have had major D which has subsided. Now I have dh on my face and severe fatigue and muscle weakness. Last night I got my typical glutened knee pain. Anyone have any tips on how to deal with this? I have things to do and can't just lay here! It takes so long to feel better. It's so frusturating all of this b/c of food...agh!

Sorry you in so much pain hopefully it will run it's course soon. I find plain asprin to help a bit with the muscle and bone pain. Sometimes sublingual B12 will help a bit with the fatigue. I also have taken Royal Jelly to help with the fatigue. Not something to take if you allergic to bees. Other than that hot showers and sleeping as much as I can seems to help to. What helps for one person might not help another so hopefully others will have some suggestions also.

I hope your feeling better soon.

I'm wondering this myself... I still have a lot of fatigue and headaches but I have lots and lots of homework to do for school! It comes and goes with me, some mornings I feel fantastic and ready to take on the world, other times I just want to curl up and sleep forever...

But what helps me is to pace myself, do a little bit of homework at a time, then rest, then do a little more, then rest, like that. I'll do homework lying down sometimes or surf the net in bed rather than sit or stand up. I also make sure to get at LEAST 9 hours of sleep a night, if not more, and if I can't think straight anymore and absolutely MUST sleep, I go ahead and nap. Gotta listen to the ol' body sometimes.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
