Ok, again I'm just trying to figure out if I'm eating something that others react to. Does anyone react to Cascadian Farms org fruit spread? I seem to be okay, but maybe I'm not if others react?

Don't use what happens with others to gauge your recovery. Fruit spreads rarely contain gluten and I have used that one before with no problems. I am a pretty sensitive Celiac.

People can react to many different things in food and it's not always gluten. Fruit can sometimes cause problems due to the fructose/sugar levels. If you feel fine after eating something, and have checked to make sure it is gluten-free, then I wouldn't worry any more about it.

Hi. Well, I DOOOO take it all with a grain of salt. I have fructose issues myself. I just don't have big gluten reactions a lot of times...unless I know I got really glutened, so I'm left wondering? I get muscle aches and pains and foggy brain, but I am also sorting through RA and possible Lupus issues. It's just hard to sort out. I know that there are people on this site who have very clear indicators of when they get glutened, so I feel that having input would help me to decide if it's safe for me. I have gotten better for sure over time, but I'm definitely not normal yet. It would do me good to find out if something that I'm eating causes cc reactions in other people. I'm only just finding out that I'm very sensitive to cc, and I still am trying to figure out just HOW sensitive I actually am. :)

I know this topic is two years old but for anyone googling - I've also had their OG Fruit Spreads without any issue and I am quite sensitive as well.

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
