1St Day Gluten Free Tomorrow

I have been cutting back, but now have started much effort to avoid all gluten. So Friday, 8 July 2011, will be my first day gluten free.

The hardest thing to give up has been chocolate! Can I do this? I'm sure going to try.

Why so you have to give up chocolate?

I have been gluten-free for six months now and still go through times where I want gluten foods but I avoid them cause I know what will happen afterwards and the damage it will do. Getting better though.

I don't! Peanut M&M's are gluten free! (my favorite)

1/2 way through day 4!

Keep sticking with it - well worth the effort. I was wheat free from last September and gluten free since 6th May (except for 4 days when G.P. asked me to go back on gluten. It gets easier and now I'm finding it second nature. The improvement in my health keeps me going when I smell fresh produce in a bakery!! That was the one good thing about the four days back on gluten - whereas I'd really been missing some things, I felt so bad for those four days that now you couldn't pay me to eat them!

      New labs are now very elevated

      Hello, I was very stick, with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel. Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change? What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?...

      This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to...

      Is Cracker Barrel`s gluten-free menu safe for kids with celiac disease?

      I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
