Favorite gluten-free/sf Natural Shampoo?

I was saddened recently to discover that the only natural/organic shampoo I've been using for years that actually gets my hair clean has soy protein in it. I'd prefer to have no gluten, soy, or animal products in my shampoo, along with it being low toxicity (at cosmeticdatabase.org). Does anyone have a favorite shampoo that fits the bill?

I have used Shikai and there is also a newer brand called Himalaya that is really nice. The Himalaya even says gluten free on the label.

Thanks for posting this. I have just checked my shampoo (Aveda Pure Abundance). Would you believe hydrolyzed wheat protein and wheat starch? I am going shopping tomorrow so I will definitely be on the look out for Shikai and Himalaya.

I never knew before I found this forum that you had to check products that go on your skin. I should have....duh...I have a rash that is torturing me day and night.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
