Could It Be Celiac?

Hi everyone. I just joined the site and am looking to understand more about my condition. Firstly, I am a 20 year old male, and for the past year or so virtually all of my bowel movements have been diarrhea/steatotrhea. Depending on the day I go to the bathroom 3 to as many as 10 times in extreme situations. I went to the doctor and was tested for every food allergy and for Celiac but all turned up negative. I have researched the disease however, and honestly think I may have it. I just want to compare sone of my specific symptoms with others here to see if there are any similarities. I apologize for the length of this post, but I have a few questions concerning celiac disease:

-Is it common to almost never have a solid BM?

-Don't mean to be graphic but is anyone else unable to pass gas without defecating? This is one in particular I haven't heard much about.

-Could these symptoms be from something as simple as having a bad diet? I admittedly eat a lot of fried/junk foods (gluten or not) and have all my life basically, but could that alone be the cause or do you think it has to be more complex?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to your responses.

"Loose" bowel movements were the key to realizing I had celiac as my bowel movements never "hardened" up and at one point I was going the bathroom ten or eleven times a day. My test came up negative as well until I went to a specialist. I would not mess around with it. I lost about 30 pounds . My brother was diagnosed with celiac so I knew there was a chance. I first thought I had food poisoning I went the bathroom so much. There is no harm in going on a gluten free diet, just a hard diet to be on. Maybe give it a try and see if it offers you some help

The Big D was my main symtom, too...many times a day (I'm shuddering to think back to those days two years ago). Hated to leave the house at times or I simply did not eat when I knew I had to go somewhere.

False negatives are rather common on the celiac panel. Will your doctor be doing an endoscopy with biopsies? If so, you need to keep eating gluten until after it's done. If not, I'd suggest you go strictly gluten-free and see if you feel better.

Personally I do not find the diet to be difficult...just a PIA at times. :P But it's so worth it to feel "normal" again!

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
