My son has celiac and is 2.5yrs old.

Can he have Nature's Plus Sensi-Dophilus?

It's a probiotic and it's Lactobacillus Acidophilus. Will is do any good for him?

What do you think?

I am thinking I should call his Dr. but i don't want this to be stupid question!

Celiacs can have any gluten-free probiotic. The one you are looking at has bacteria plus natural carrot powder, microcrystalline cellulose, silica, gelatin and purified water so it would be safe. I don't know much in general about feeding probiotics to young children but they help me tremendously. I usually look for one with a wider variety of bacteria than just acidophilus.

Probiotics are necessary for balancing flora in celiac guts.

They are beneficial and may do him a world of good. :)

I agree with Skylark--a full spectrum probiotic is better than just one strain as we have many in our bodies that need replenishing.

I think Custom Probiotics makes one just for infants and children.

The owner will speak with you on the phone and offer advice about dosing, etc.

Be aware that small doses work best at first, building up gradually, so his system gets used to them.

Thanks for the advice! This is what i was looking for! i walked into the vitamin store near my house and this that is what they sold me. But he said i could brin git back if it's the wrong one. so i'm going to take it back and purchase the children's probiotic from customprodiotics.com It seems very expensive but if it really works then i'm happy to spend the $.

They are an investment for sure, but the bottle will last for awhile. (I used them myself and think they are wonderful)

The man is a chemist and very knowledgable. Give him a call, tell him about your child and that he has celiac and he will tell you how to dose. He sent me great info via email. Nice guy.

My now 7 year old has taken probiotics since he was about 6 months old. They helped a lot when he was a baby with recurrent yeast infections, thrush and bowel yeast overgrowth from having to many antibiotics.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
