Imitation Crab

Since you all did such a great job with potato chip suggestions, figured I would try another question - does anyone know of a gluten-free imitaton crab? I love making my own sushi and this crab would be a great addition, if only I could find one! Any help would be appreciated!

I've used canned crab meat just fine in sushi. Real crab has a lighter taste, so it is a bit different, but I actually prefer it, not to mention I've *never* found a gluten-free imitation crab.

I have tried real canned crab too, but couldn't taste it very well (don't necessarily mind this since I love nori!). I think imitation crab has a stronger taste, so I will keep my hopes up!

yeah, I wish I could find a gluten-free imitation crab meat too. I also love making my own sushi... but I'll do without california rolls until they make a gluten-free imitation crab meat.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
