  1. This is a juicy, jam-packed thread! I guess I'd just like to add that, I tested positive on the celiac panel after 4 months gluten very lite and then went to Enterolab for more info and had the double DQ1 diagnosis. This was almost 4 years ago after 35 years of intestinal ill-health and with diagnoses of ulcerative colitis at 11 years old to ulcers and IBS...
  2. Lancome's LE ROUGE ABSOLU lipstick line is the one that is gluten-free. lisa
  3. Hi Greek myth lovers and others, Is "Pom" brand pomegranate juice gluten-free? For sure? Thank you for your responses. lisa
  4. Thank you, too, Patti, and others! lisa
  5. Which corn tortillas are absolutely gluten-free? lisa
  6. I've used Lancome's 'Le Rouge Absolu" line of lipsticks for a couple of years and had no problems. This line is gluten-free. Lancome has always been very helpful and forthright about this. It's also been nice that an employee at the Lancome at Macy's in Portsmouth, NH has celiac and is very knowledgable about the line. lisa
  7. I used to make my own vanilla at home until I discovered the beans I was getting at the health food store were cured in bourbon. (gluten?) So... I'm also curious about the beans themselves..... lisa
  8. henny, I'm sorry you are so sick and I have no good advice- I rarely eat anything processed other than Tinkyada pasta or Larabars. I was thinking of trying a 3 musketeer bar soon and you are making me rethink that decision. Please feel well soon! lisa
  9. Thank you some more everyone. Tarnalberry- can you suggest a trusted line of canned tomato products? sorry, I just have really not been having many processed products for years! Thank you all! lisa
  10. It's also too bad because i happen to love oaked wines. This issue really needs some clear answers from the industry. I am almost 100% certain that I have been glutened by wine before. Of course, I continue to drink my trusted ones and occasionally attempt new ones but i wsh it wasn't so hit or miss. I appreciate Lisa's link (thanks, Lisa!) but I'm still...
  11. Yes, I, too, use McCormick's! No problems. lisa
  12. Well, I ditched all my simply organic herbs because it seemed they couldn't guarantee things were gluten-free. But, hopefully, they are. Please let us know how you feel and I hope you feel well. lisa
  13. And the Enrico's! Gosh, thank you, too, everyone for web-sites and phone numbers. (I do make a mean sauce myself but I think I'm TIRED right now and looking for some fast items. Good thing I'm not a pioneer woman, I guess. Don't forget to vote. (Is that okay to say?- I don't even know!) lisa
  14. Thank you everyone! (Hi, Patti-hope you are well!) I am going to look for those. And, yes, Portland has a nice Whole Foods, my problem is I don't always trust the "gluten-free" label (Amy's?) I need to hear from trusted sources that it's really okay. I know it's ridiculous, but I really am one of those people who reacts to a very small amount of gluten....
  15. I, too, am a wine lover and I've read these things as well about the flour used in oak barrels. I DO think that I sometimes get mysteriously glutened and the only culprit might be a new wine. Michael and I try now to stick with unoaked wines (some will say on bottle, some you need to research) For instance, I have no trouble with 4 Vines (unoaked), Mirassou...
  16. Hi everyone, Could anyone tell me an absolutely certain choice of tomato sauce (spaghetti sauce) that has no gluten, soy or high fructose? And NO cc issues? And available on the East coast, let's say in the vicinity of, oh...Maine? I think Newman's is okay but they use soy. I've had trouble in the past with all Amy's products. Thank you for any advice...
  17. Ohhhhh....the EVIL high fructose- I avoid that as well. Thank you, lisa
  18. Wow, that sounds so great. A treat is in my future! Thanks, Pele, lisa
  19. Thank you everyone for all your replies. lisa
  20. Thank you, Skinny-chic. lisa
  21. Thank you, Judy! That sounds yummy; maybe I'll give it a try! lisa
  22. Hi everyone, Hope people are on their way to health or maintaining health. Is Breyer's ice cream gluten-free? I find I have not a minute lately to be on the phone for anything not work or family related. Thank you for your time in advance. lisa
  23. Not to sound abrasive, but, I sure hope the "pet" is being thought of first. ( which is often not the case.) I have had numerous and multitudinous pets in my life and, frankly, I don't think humans always do a very good job of harboring animals. Birds, need to FLY. Animals, (insects, amoebas and probably all others are leagues ahead of humans in their intuitive...
