ARCHIVED Would You Eat These Probiotics?
Yenni replied to Yenni's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yeah, both my husband and I have looked online and all over town. The Probiotics seems to either have legume, casein or gluten in them. I'll keep on looking. I'll send a little question to EnteroLab too. Good idea. How did you contact them? I haven't been able to find an e-mail adress. I sent another question off today on their hompage/that contact us thingy... -
Thanks for mentioning that. I ate some Salmon burger thingy that had that. My mother in law told me it was a spice. So I am a little slow; MSG actually comes from Soy? I do very bad on Soy (all legumes) myself. I didn't do too well on that Salmon burger.. I think sometimes it takes a while for symptoms to start.

I have read at several places recommendation to get shots for additional allergies. I did read they seem to work better for inhalants than food though. But maybe I missunderstood. I am allergic to apples, pears, cherries, carrots, peaches, all tree nuts, almonds, plums, birch pollen and strawberries. I never seemed to have that much problems not being...

ARCHIVED Gene Information Wanted! Please!
Yenni replied to Peta's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I am just looking at Dr Fine's DVD "Intestinal Health..And beyond!" and one of the doctors speaking on it said that if you have one gene there is 1x the risk to get the disease but if you have 2 genes it is 4x the risk to get it. -
I had a co worker once that got them for bee stings. I guess she was really allergic and it helped I guess. But she never talked about it much and it wasn't for food. Hmm... Thanks for the reply!

Looks like the Dairy Free Natren are made from Garbanzo beans, which means it is out for me too. I can't do any Legumes. Thank's for the suggestion though and the reply. I am wondering about the Probiotics that Dr Fine used himself. Why would he recommend them on his page if they would be bad... He is against Dairy himself. I dunno. I haven't been... -
ARCHIVED Dental Enamel Defects Connected With Celiac?
Yenni replied to Yenni's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
They removed it like a cavity and put some plastic to protect the tooth there. It wasn't deep enough to get a shot or anything. I had it done when I was 4 so I don't remember much. My father gave me my first watch after it was done. hehe I remember that better. I haven't had any cavities at all. Been very lucky. -
ARCHIVED Celebrities With Celiac?
Yenni replied to lauderdalehawk44's topic in Publications & Publicity
I believe my grandmother died of undiagnosted celiac disease. She has so much troubles with her stomach. Diverticulitis, ulcers, has stomi for a while...so much surgery. She was in the hospital so many times during my life/childhood that it was normal for me for her to be there. In the end she went every two weeks and stayed for a couple of days because of... -

I read somewhere else also that the gluten-free diet is the diet that is growing the most. They didn't give any numbers though. Interesting. -
ARCHIVED Dental Enamel Defects Connected With Celiac?
Yenni posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
So Dental Enamel Defects are connected with Celiac? Can this be miss coloration of teeth (like a spot) or what does it mean? Just getting a lot of cavaties? I just remembered that I had this white spot on one of my teeth when I was a kid that they removed. I had forgotten about that. My teeth has been strong though. -

ARCHIVED Would You Eat These Probiotics?
Yenni posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Dr Fine was liking the Culturelle Probiotics and I had a very hard time finding Probiotics in my town that I can eat so I ordered those online. The box says there are less than .01 mg of Casein and less than .01 mg of Whey in each capsule. Would you eat them if you were Casien intolerante? So far I have seemed to be sensitive so I have only been looking... -
ARCHIVED Gene Information Wanted! Please!
Yenni replied to Peta's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have one celiac gene and one Gluten sensitive one and EnteroLab said my symptoms can be more severe because of this. I am thinking I had symptoms from both these genes too. -

I am allergic to a lot of fruits, tree nuts, almonds and carrots. I had a skin test done when I was a little girl that showed this and I remember my tongue swelled and itched when I ate any of it. I have been thinking about maybe getting allergy shots for these things but know nothing about this really. I read some where that they weren't good to get...

ARCHIVED Gene Question
Yenni replied to Yenni's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Makes sense. I think I read something about that too. Something interesting I read too in an article was that Gluten Intolerance and Celiac can express different symptoms in different ages. Some new reserch made in Sweden. I guess they are finally opening their eyes some over there. They did a test with 7000 children and found out that a scary big amount... -
ARCHIVED Gene Question
Yenni replied to Yenni's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes, I can see that and I am sure I would do the same if I ever have children. And maybe they will find more genes that are connected to Celiac and gluten intolerance. I have told my parents and my aunt about this. Dad got mad that I even mentioned it (he is weird), mom is suspecting she might have some troubles but feels they are too small for her... -

Yeah, I am not doing the meats from the deli. Too paranoid of that and not feeling comfortable enough with this to ask thye to clean of the machine yet. I am the shy type. Can't do peanut butter and I am allergic to apples so that is out. Thanks for all the suggestions. Man do I eat a lot of Chicken already though . hehe -

Tuna I had forgotten about. I never seem to have much left overs, should work on that. I go through everything so fast. I do eat cucumber and bell pepers on my sandwish daily. Avocado gives me a stomach ache for some reason although I love it.. I wonder what family sprouts belongs too. Shouldn't be Legumes you'd think. I'll google it. I'll look into... -
Ooh, I do that too! Pizza commercials make me crazy, and I didn't even like Pizza that much. Cheese does that to me too. Really bad.
