  1. Yes, I know qUinoa and buckwheat technically are seeds, but oh well. I am gonna check that Lundbergs short brown rice you mentioned. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for your replies! I have always taken my vitamins with food. I could try taking them in the AM and maybe just take one instead of two. I have no doctor really. The one I see didn't think I had Gluten Intolerance. I need to go back to see her for a yearly check up in a while. I am gonna try yo talk to her then. Ask for some blood tests to see...
  3. This one is really good! I have curly hair too. Magick Botanicals Fragrance Free Styling Gel Despite the brand name they do not use any "botanicals" in their products. They have very few ingredients and are made for people with sensetivities and allergies. I don't think they use any soy or gluten in any of their other stuff, but I am not 100% sure.
  4. So I am not pregnant but it still seems this part of the board would be the place to ask this... I have always had very painfull periods. In my teenagers it was so bad I wanted to faint. They have been regular and light. I was on the pills for like 3 years because of this and my periods were easier after I stopped. But the last maybe 4 years (as I got...
  5. The problem is I feel I can't eat more than I do because when I eat the vitamins I go like one hour and then I get hungry. I can eat meat, potatoe and sallad and I get hungry really fast again. I would have to just eat all day long (which I feel I almost do without the vitamins). The icky part is the blood sugar drops. They freak me out. I have always had...
  6. I have noticed that it is actually pretty hard to find shampoos and conditioners that are both wheat and soy free. They are both very common in hair products. They like to put the protein in there to "heal" the hair. I have used Gluten-Free Savonnerie's whole line for about 4 months and I am very happy with their stuff. Good customer service and low shipping...
  7. I can eat rice cakes with no problems. The ones I get are brown rice ones. I also eat A LOT of Enjoy Life Very Berry Bars with no problems at all. This also has brown rice in it. I have problems with Lundbergs white Jasmine Rice and regular Quinoa. If i just have a bit of it it seems to be okay, but if I eat like a regular serving of it I get naseaus...
  8. I seem to not be able to eat Vitamins. The last couple of years I keep on getting really bad blood sugar drops and I get super hungry when I eat Vitamins. (Free from the stuff I can't have-Kirkman Labs Brand, but I have tried others too.) So hungry I dream of food at night, have to go up and eat and I feel I have to eat all the time during the day. Every...
  9. I seem to have a problem with rice and quinoa if I eat more than a cup of them a day. maybe a little less than that. Seems if I just take a little of them I am fine, but if I do a bit more I get a lof of gas and feel naseous. Does anyone esle have this problem? I think I read somehwre that the body can have problems with grains in general for a while...
  10. I have a dog and I give her gluten free dog food. Makes me feel safer. It does have Alfalfa in it though, which could be a problem for me, but I haven't noticed any problems so far. I always make sure to wash my hands and stuff after I have fed her. I did give her a gluten and legume free food before but her stomach couldn't handle it so we had to look...
  11. I have also started to feel better. It took a while for me to figure out I can't handle any Legumes at all and I kept eating legumes for a long time after I stopped with casein and gluten. I am very paranoid with preemade/processed food in general. Seems I have gotten sick from stuff that shouldn't make me sick. I have had problems eating this corn chips...
  12. Can you possibly have other intolerances? I haven't started to feel good until I figured out I can't handle any Legumes at all. Maybe you can do some Elisa tests or send in stool samples to EnteroLab to see if you have other intolerances.
  13. Okay, here is my story. Didn't want to gain weight as a toddler. Had constipation often as a child. Sensitive stomach. Skinny. Some food allergies. Bad appetite as a teenager. It was a struggle to eat some how. Very skinny. Aches in my knees and thighs off and on. Late teenager/early twenties I started to get nauseous and get stomach aches when...
  14. I react to small traces of the stuff I am intolerant to in food. Like if a product is made in a factory with gluten/casein/soy (in my case) but the food itself is supposed to be free from it.
  15. Are the saliva tests always accurate? I don't know much about them. I had a negative blood test but positive results at EnteroLab.
  16. Oh, so cute! We have a rescue puppy too. Well she is 2½ now. She is a german shepherd/lab mix. I like the name Bodhi.
  17. I was super tired like that too. It lasted a longer while for me actually. I had been tired for years but this last spring I was so tired it scared me. My husband started to read about Celiac and I eventually got tested at EnteroLab and it was positive. I think the fact that I went for 4½ years feeling sick and with lots of stomach symtoms and brain ...
  18. I got sick from Corn tortillas. The hard kind. It said on the bag that they were gluten free but they make wheat stuff in the same place so I am guessing it was cross contamination. For now I stay away from products like that.
  19. I got sick from a gluten free brand of corn flakes too. It was that Nature's Path too I believe. I thought it was just me.
  20. I have been thinking about that too. So far I have decided to stay away from Oats when it sounds like , at least in the US, that almost all places that harvest Oats also harvest Wheat. So I am thinking better safe than sorry. The Bil-Jac Select has no Oats though. Fresh Chicken By-Products (Organ Meat Only), Fresh Chicken, Corn, Chicken By-Product Meal...
  21. I do not always trust it. I have gotten sick from corn chips, creme of rice and Turkey. They all said Gluten free but they sure made me sick. I trust the companies that have a dedicated factory or have a special routine making the stuff kinda.
  22. Watch out for soy (can hide under "Lecithin" ,but Lecithin can also come from Egg and sunflower oil) in dog foods (I see you are intolerant to soy like me). Seems to be really common in even the "hypoallergenic" ones. I have had a hard time finding a soy free on. We did end up getting the Canidae here today, but it has Alfalfa stuff in it. I am not sure...
  23. That is a really good page! Our dog have been eating the Solid Gold Barking At The Moon for a about 2 months now. She got really bad with gas on it and vomited some times. We went to the Vet, he told us to give her probiotics pills. She got better for a bit but now she is bad again. Our Vet said dog foods high in protein are often hard for dogs...
  24. I did a search about gluten intolerance on Google and this place came up. I started reading some and found a lot of good information and VERY friendly people. So I signed up. I think I wouldn't have done half as well without this place.
  25. Thank you everyone!! I picked up that EnerG Egg replacer today. I was so happy when I realized I could use it (looking at the ingredient list). Funny the things that make you happy these days. Okay, now I have a couple of things I could try. I am a lousy cook so far in my life. This has forced me to actually start doing it more. Scary. Carol...
