  1. Aww don't feel bad it isn't your fault. Out of curiosity what were you eating that had gluten in it? It took me 5 months to figure out that my ds was allergic to milk and soy. Welcome to the board.
  2. I can't wait to get some Could anyone please tell me what shape it is in? Like round balls or flat thin pieces. I am hoping flat because I am so tired of "round cereal"
  3. Welcome to the board, Yes mood is changed by gluten. And after reading your post I would think that Casein could be a possible culprit and the fruity pebbles might have trace amount of gluten. I always feel funny from eating those but I think it is all the sugar. Also, are you positive she is not eating other foods at school or from your dh (you said...
  4. We go to Dr. Baker he is in Carrolton off Josey Lane. I think he is very informative about Celiac and he might be able to help you too. He is a great ped. GI doctor. PM me if you are interested and I will give you his office number. I am not sure if I am allowed to post it on here. Good luck
  5. oh I didn't know that the wagon wheels were gluten-free. I just assumed they were made with flour. I might have to get some of those too! I have never seen the fruit things I will look for those too Thanks!
  6. our GI told us to hold off on Gluten for at least a year. We started with fruits and veggies at 8.5 months and then went to oats a week or so ago. She seems to be doing fine on those. We wait 7 days in between new foods.
  7. I gave my 9 month old one of these gluten-free animal cookies and she did really well. I haven't found a gluten-free baby snack that will dissovle in their mouths like the veggies puffs. I really wish they didn't have wheat in them But these cookies work for us so I just wanted to pass it along.
  8. My baby is 9 months old now and she had lots of GI problems at the beginning too. She can't tolerate Milk, soy, or rice cereal (we think the cereal) She has never had gluten before but I wanted to say her GI told us not to give her any gluten for at least a year. Also, no solids until her intestines had healed and sealed. This was VERY important for lowering...
  9. My baby wasn't pre-mature but she can't tolerate soy or milk at all. Long story short gerber rice cereal has soy in it. Just a thought.
  10. THat happens to me too. I say no wheat and no bread and they always say. Well can you have white bread?
  11. When are they coming to Texas? I want to eat there! The menu looks great
  12. Here is a recipe I found that uses cornstarch. I have never made this one we used to use flour. I think I am going to give it a try. Open Original Shared Link
  13. I was off BC for a year before conceiving Maddie. And gluten-free 6 or 7 months of that time
  14. hmm now I am confused. She seems to be doing fine with the oats but I don't want her to get sick or lose any weight. Also, she did not do so well on the Rice cereal and I definitely don't want to try barley. It just seems that she needs something more filling than fruits and veggies. Any suggestions?
  15. Well first let me update you on Maddie. She is now 9 months old and doing very well she weighs 17 pounds now and is 26 inches! She eats squash, carrots, green beans and apples She can tolerate Nutramigin in small amounts once in awhile too! THat is just a good sign for her milk intolerance issues. She still nurses 3 times a day with 2 meals of solids...
  16. I posted a few days ago that I felt sick after eating anything well... I went to the doctor and he said that is sounds like I have an ulcer. He did take blood work and is checking my thyroid and things like that but the down side of this is...all the meds. to fix an ulcer are not good for nursing mom's. And my baby can't tolerate any formula so I have...
  17. ^you know what I ate something out of a iron skillet yesterday at my dad's house. I bet that is why I am in so much pain today and yesterday! But that doesn't explain the few weeks prior but is was so bad yesterday and today . Thanks for the info about the breastfeeding. I worry because she just is eating a tablespoon of squash for the last 4 days...
  18. I am sorry for your friend. But you are so right. I had a friend die last year from cancer and I learned never to complain because he sure didn't. I will keep your friend in my prayers.
  19. Thanks, Thyroid problem huh? I really didn't want to hear that at all! I was hoping to get fixed without going to the doctor. I breastfeed right now as my baby can't tolerate anything so we just started her on some squash a few days ago. She is over 8 months old now and that is so draining being her only source of food. The worse part is I have...
  20. I have been gluten-free for 2.5 years now and have been doing great! BUT this last month or so I get horrible stomach pains after eating ANYTHING. I have searched through all my foods they are all safe as far as I can tell. I haven't eaten out or anything like that either. Any thoughts?
  21. I have that too. Lately it has been real bad but I read it could be caused by low iron. So I started taking my iron pills from after I had the baby and it helps a lot.
  22. The doctor gave Maddie Neocate too and said virtually no body has a problem with it. BUT I do remember some one on here saying their baby couldn't tolerate it either.
  23. I am so sorry to hear all that. I have no advice but just wanted you to know that I will keep your little girl in my thoughts and prayers and hopefully you will find an answer somewhere.
  24. wow that is just crazy. Sorry to say but I hate having Celiac. I wish I didn't have it and could eat anything in the world that I want In my opinion go see another doctor or just go gluten free and see what happens. If you feel better stick with it if not see if there is another culprit. I was always underweight my whole life then in one year I gained...
  25. Raisin Juice Thanks that is what my mom said too. I will call the doctor later on today and see what he says. She was doing so well and we were so excited to start solids this week. I hoping he doesn't want to delay her anymore.
