    I'm glad that going gluten-free has helped you- it made a huge difference for me! Also, you can find a Lyme doc who uses other treatment besides antibiotics. I used to live/work in the East Bay (lived in Berkeley and worked in Orinda!)

Maybe you're allergic to one family of antibiotics and not another?

    Yeah- I had to wait 6 months to get an appt with her. I'm sorry if I misinformed- Dr Cheney does NOT deal with Lyme. She deals with celiac.     I am pretty sure Miralax is gluten-free (my doctor is at the leading celiac center in Boston and she prescribed it for me); however, I felt horrid on it. And it didn't really work.     No, not totally cold turkey but a very quick taper because being on the medication was bad enough. I went from 60 to 30 straight but then tapered by taking some out of each capsule daily for a few days.     We've had so much rain in Massachusetts (and a mini tornado but that's another story) that some of my flowers (I'm a flower gradener) have literally rotted. I've never seen my garden go to heck in a handbasket like this! We also have a tomato blight here that's killing everyone's tomatoes.
