  1. That's so stinky!! I'm really sensitive too so this is good to know- they make a lot of blends (and gravy mixes, right?) so it must be CC. I've never had a problem with Morton and Basset but I agree, when you can do your own, it's for the best.
  2. So many butthead moves here- the latest one was REALLY wanting a fudgsicle, being really tired and not noticing "malt powder" at the end of ingredients. That and shampoo or conditioner- so stupid!
  3. I use Morton and Basset but sage should be gluten-free unless it's in a spice mix. Could you have food poisoning? Sorry you're not feeling well
  4. I agree- there are certain things I have eaten repeatedly that have made me ill and though I know they are gluten-free, it is not the gluten making me ill. I think most of those who cannot eat gluten are sensitive to other dyes, chemicals, sugars, etc. As to whether there is gluten in the wax, I have seen no evidence of this. The wax may not make you...

  6. Just wanted to add that I have been gluten-free for over 4 years and even though Cheeto's are gluten-free, I get sick EVERY time they eat them. I don't know why (Hershey's chocolate does the same thing so no more Reese's. It stinks because I love Cheeto's and Reese's but not worth barfing over. I suspect it's either an oil or a food coloring. I...

  10. My DH and I went to Sunday River this weekend. I was impressed by how much gluten-free food was available since the last time I was there (2 years ago). First, Pat's Pizza in Bethel had a big sign out front that said "Gluten-free dough" we didn't have a chance to go there but it's on our next trip. We had dinner at SS Morton's in downtown Bethel...

  13. That may be so, however, it's not for this board. As someone who has parasites (babesiosis) and bacteria (Lyme), I still manage to keep on topic. One would think you could do the same. Most of the members of this thread do! Thanks Peter- well stated.
  14. Hi Jason- I was on Nystatin for 3-4 months and did NOT have to get my liver checked. It also worked very well. When you posted, did you mean Theralac (not Threelac)? I have been on Theralac for years and it works great.....I've been on long-term antibiotics so I had a candida issue for awhile. Therelac has worked well for me but I can tolerate dairy...
  15. Just a reminder to please keep the thread on topic- the SCD diet, not parasites, adrenals, etc. Scott has been very clear about this in the past. Thanks.
  16. If it's any consolation, I think he's getting restless.
  17. SewZann- Try not to be jealous but.......well, I've been following along and I thought I should et you know Sam and I are currently "going steady'. He took me out to dinner last night <------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  20. Ugh- so sorry you had to take it! It took me about 4 days to lose the taste after I stopped taking it. YUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Did they confirm it definitely has gluten in it? I've taken ceftin before and it was gluten-free. I'm wondering if you had a bad reaction to the antibiotic and not gluten. Ceftin belongs to a family of antibiotics called quinolones and they are really harsh- and cause all the symptoms you mentioned. I can't take anything from that entire family because the...
  22. You are not whining at all! I'm sorry you feel so bad but am curious what antibiotic it is and who the manufacturer is. You could save others some potential suffering if you told us (I have Lyme and am always on a new antibiotic!) Hang in there- it happens to all of us and it is so so so frustrating- especially when it makes you feel THAT bad. :(
  23. I was just thinking this (and my name is Bev too!) Woodman's is CRAZY good and you have everything EXCEPT the clam cakes, onion rings and buns. You can have French fries tiill you never want to see another one!
  24. I'm probably 2 hours north of the Bunnie- I'll meet ya there baby (Bunnie- Could you food sound anymore delicious?) ! Or you can come here and we'll have gluten-free fried seafood.
