  1. Hi Bob- Welcome! I had "tennis elbow" (uhm? I don't play tennis) so badly i couldn't use JUST my right hand to hold anything even remotely heavy (like a skillet). It started in january and strangely enough....first thing to just COMPLETELY disappear since I started the abx. Good luck with the testing! Andrea- You can hang around but NO LYME FOR...
  2. U of N can test down to 20 ppm. When Amy's sent a sample out to be tested for me (cuz I'm SO special ) they told me it couldn't detect anything lower than that so i'm pretty sure that patti's EVIL almond butter had 200 ppm in it. I'm glad someone doesn't react to it! I DEFINITELY reacted to the crackers- I feel absolutely HIDEOUS today. It's been...
  3. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously- what a relief!
  4. Ugh...I think I reacted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure....sometimes it's so hard to tell.
  5. Great thread- I am another celiac Lymie! My story is basically this. My mom passed away in April 2003 and almost immediately I became lactose intolerant. Two months later my hubby and i went hiking/camping in ME. We hiked a good, long one on a hot day and when I got down, I didn't feel so good. That entire week after I was in bed with the "flu"...
  6. EEK! Eek on the estrogen as mine is SKY high! Yeah- I was completely dairy free since April and noticed nothing different Actually the only cheeses I want are the hard- parm, asiago. But I think they are moldier. Oh Tom- I am OBSESSIVELY soy and legume free. have been for quite some time. Won't even touch soy lecithin which is supposed to be benign...
  7. Oh Lisa- Sorry about the moldening. Could be potato starch? I don't know. If you don't fully air-dry your enema bag, it can get moldy. Are you using distilled water? The minerals you got from your doc sound good. Just proceed slowly and with caution. Want some feedback. OK- technically, I am lactose intolerant according to the test. But the test...
  8. yeah- usually I have night sweats THAT night but when I went in for GI testing back in June it took the stupid 5 cups of barium and some other yucky stuff like 3 1/2 hours to move through my small intestine and they had to use a paddle to get it moving so I know I've got one SLOW digestive system.
  9. Pooping in to say hello. may I say, Jin, you are the sweetest thing! My herx is over. when I have a herx I have these two songs in my head. One is the Grateful Dead. I think it's called Uncle John's Band. The lines are "The First Days are the hardest days, don't you worry anymore" but I always sing "The first herx is the hardest herx" ...
  10. I know- that is NUTS but isn't that the Codex standard? i remember reacting VERY badly to an Amy's product and the U of N only found 33 ppm I'm pretty sure they DO have organic nut butters at WF.
  11. Hebrew national are GOOD too! But alas...I haven't been able to find a type that's soy free. My bet is the cake made her bloated. Poor thing!

  13. My silly 75 year old uncle is at it again: Daddy, how was I born? Sign of the times? A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?" The father answers: "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a...

  19. I just have to say- i went into this thread looking for a gluten-free hot dog bun...but I have to say I LOVE all the avatars on this thread! I usually use the Whole Foods gluten-free hamburger buns for both hamburgers and hot dogs. I like them well enough (they do have lactose which I'm not supposed to have either but I figure- it's not the same as eating...

  23. Does anyone know of a dairy free/soy free un-denatured whey protein? i may have dingo'd it, but I am lactose intolerant and not sure that would agree with me
  24. Quick drive by- today is sis's birthday. What is the brand name of the whey protein you guys use? And it's denatured, right? What does that mean? The woman at my local health food store had never heard of it. Carla- I remember when you posted about getting a cold- chock it up to brain fog, but did you say that was a GOOD sign? I actually have a...
  25. Good Lord Rachel- what you just described as happening to you after the crowns were put in is just plain HORRIFIC. I can't imagine what it must have been like to experience those sensations....it must have truly FELT TOXIC. I was just thinking the other burden on my system after my mom died in addition to the Lyme and celiac was my TOXIC mold apartment...
