  1. Wow Andrea= that list rocked! I can see pretty clearly that my main prob is Lyme followed by mold. The sun thing REALLY struck a chord with me! I used to LOVE summer, now I can't wait for fall when it cools down. the heat (esp when humid) is agonizing for me! Ahh..skee ball. Hard to explain. It's like a ramp that you roll balls up and try to get...
  2.   THAT is funny! Just popping in to say hello. I actually had a DAY today- we went to a local farmer's market and then played skee ball where I CRUSHED my huby with the all-time top score of 310! MOOO HOO AH HA HA. We have a huge skee ball/Go Kart rivalry. I won! Of course, all this was folowed by a two hour nap Rachel...
  3. OMG-    Carla- That article was so sad. I can't believe it took someone having such a harrowing experience. Unreal. The IV thing scares me too My friend who recovered from neuro Lyme had a PIC (sp?) line in for quite awhile.
  4. Go Patti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you used heinous, befall, fair and lass in one sentence. I do believe I have died and gone to Ireland! Miss SusieQ- So sorry. Wish I could help you about but those drugs are in very short supply! And I'm trying so hard not to use them. Today my right arm feels like it's broken- OUCH!!!!!!!!! OK doggie funnies from my...
  5. Oh yes- I think our main problem may be the fact that we have all been abducted by aliens and are carrying alien babies (guys too...sorry, aliens make no gender preferences!). I swear when this all started happening to me in 2003 I told everyone I thought I was giving birth to an alien baby. Uhm..4 years is a long gestation period rachel- so glad...

OMG- as you can see from my new avatar, yesterday I felt like such b@#$%$#% I ended up looking like that. The change was painful as i had to shrink, grow hair and start leaping like...

  8. Grump- I think it's wonderful you and your son are working on the boat. I love fishing too! My hubby and i went fishing for king salmon in the POURING rain and it was so much fun. I NEVER catch anything but I love it! Jin- That avatar is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carla- Sorry, I meant Chloe. Oops!
  9. I just woke up from a three hour nap ("a three hour nap" she sings to the tune of Gilligan's Island) and i saw this in my email and burst out laughing. You know me far too well. And yes- I would want to be tickled and have a pillow fight (although not right now with current SMASHING headache!) Carla- I'm sorry to hear about Morgan (I think- I...
  10. Oh I beg to differ! My GI says she has a patient who lives to remain mysterious so he tells everyone he has non-tropical sprue. Much more exotic sounding. "Oh my God- Code Red- it's non-tropical sprue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she says in George Clooney's ER voice. Richard- Looking good!!!!!!!!!!!! OK this is what I think: Keep the O in...
  11. Luckily I don't need MUCh support in that area so feel free to SUPPORT others. Yes- tassels are VERY important- however, they don't look good under shirts and most of us need to wear them at least 8 hours a day 9shirts sillies- not tassels!). Olivia- poor baby. She will find new friends to swing from the chandelier with though. I like her spunk...
  12. Rachel- That's awesome! You didn't need a treatment! Wow! Lisa- Please hang in there. You know everyone here will do whatever they can to support you and help you out! Laura- I noticed that you and I had a lot of similarities in our bands. Could we Lymie twins seperated at bite? Tom- Sax on! That's so exciting. Morning report- feeling...
  13. Oh gosh- I feel your pain (literally) as I had it when I was in grad school. Horrible pain. If you are in the middle of finals and can't get to a doctor, the best thing to do is not sit, stand, or lie down too often. Change positions as much as you can. Alternate heat and ice (this is what they told me to do). Put a pillow behind your back when you have...
  14. Interesting that you mention the thumb thing. I'm one of the Lymies too- just diagnosed and the last two days those areas on my thumb have been swollen. It really is crazy what Lyme can do. They call it the "great imitator". You wouldn't have contracted it from someone at work, but if you are in the same area. Igenix is the ONLY way to go...
  15. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad precious Emma is back. Smother her with love!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Oh Lisa- HUGS! Honestly, before I went gluten-free and they were "trying" to figure out what was wrong with me, I looked the same as you. Looking back, I think it was a combination of Lyme and gluten intolerance. My sis and hubby saw me in a johnny on the way to my CT scan and they thought I was going to die. It was very scary. :( I'm so glad...
  17. Blah blah blah. It's because we're on the RIGHT coast :P Look at Nikki- she's getting up when y'all are goping to bed and it's CLEAR that you guys are much more VERBOSE.
  18. Popping to say hi. Hope everyone is doing Ok. Actually feel semi-human today! Took a good two hour nap. It's so funny- all this talk of alcohol has made me realize I don't even want to touch it. I think the Lyme bacteria is a form of Antabuse. I've noticed I crave caffeine a lot less and CANNOT drink enough water. Weird...I used to have to force myself...
  19. Two funny guys, a gaggle of gals, one funny thread..tune in every day to see what happens next  Richard said MOOBS
  20. OMG- a Richard sighting AND flirtini in the same sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good news on both fronts. I miss Richard and I love flirtinis. Richard- If you're still reading, we have gotten even cheekier!
  21.  Or late afternoon after the blooody mary's Or, maybe you need moe sAx?????????????????????
  22. When reading about charcoal here, I was thinking. Potatoes always agree with me no matter how icky I feel (which lead to the racheling of the lay's for many months ) But my MIL pointed out that potatoes absorb the flavor of whatever you're cooking them in (like the salt in the water when you boil them). Not very scientific. Must do research!!!!!!!!!...
  23. Patti- I have shower gel with charcoal in it and it says that the charcoal (at least in this product) is made by heating coconut shells to a high temp. Don't know if that's tru of all charcoal. Mia- You AMAZE me! For someone who has no appetite and no energy and is feeling crummy, you are doing some serious cooking! I know how crummy you feel (I think...
  24. Tee hee! Did I say 50 martinis ? No, after 1 I'd be under the weather. Right now after 2, I'd be under the floorboards. I miss my cosmopolitans!!!!!!!!!!!! Someday......
  25.    Ba ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!! 2 martinis-under the waiter! OK- I think we are going to have to put a time curfew on all you NUTS west of the Rockies. I go to sleep and wake up to like 99 gazillion posts covering everything from being molded to being under waiters and martinis equated with breasts! Good God...
