    Oh Lisa- HUGS! Honestly, before I went gluten-free and they were "trying" to figure out what was wrong with me, I looked the same as you.     When reading about charcoal here, I was thinking. Potatoes always agree with me no matter how icky I feel (which lead to the racheling of the lay's for many months ) But my MIL pointed out that potatoes absorb the flavor of whatever you're cooking them in (like the salt in the water when you boil them).
