ARCHIVED Phenergan Anyone?
Mtndog replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Best wishes to you and blueyedmama with your surgeries. Phenergan does wonders for me (I know that Molly aka Flagbabyds takes it too so she can go to school when she's having a reacction. Colace is just a stool softener (same with the phospho soda...man you'll be clean as a whistle ). Percoset is the ONLY narcotic pain-killer that doesn't make me completely... -
ARCHIVED Phenergan Anyone?
Mtndog replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It's so interesting to see such varied responses. I LOVE phenergan. I take it when glutened (I take a 1/4 of a pill) and it kills the nausea, vomiting, aches, headache wiithout making me sleepy. If I take a 1/2 I sleep for about 2 hours and it can make me constipated but it makes me functional on days when I definitely wouldn't be. -
ARCHIVED Prometheus Labs Vs Enterolab For Genetic Testing
Mtndog replied to a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The good thing about Prometheus is that insurance will cover it if your doctor orders it. By the time I saw a celiac GI I was already gluten-free and had such severe reactions to gluten that she just went straight to the gene test. I ended up with the DQ8. I don't know if insurance will pay for Enterolab. -

ARCHIVED Poll: Were You Or Your Children Breast-fed?
Mtndog replied to Mtndog's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
lisa- I'm sorry. I didn't know that. I'm sure the results are inaccurate, but I'm curious. I'm also sure breast-feeding isn't the only factor. There's genetics and environment and God only knows what else. I think it was Ffiddle-Faddle who said that the studies she had read all had varying rates but the % of celiacs who were NOT breast-fed was very... -

Welp...I'm inclined to the slow cooker as you can throw stuff in it and let it cook but my hubby loves his Foreman grill. I think they're good for different things....slowcooker for stews, pot roasts, yummies. Hubby just uses grill for burgers and buns (not my buns )
