    It will get better. There will always be new information out there but once you get the main stuff down the new stuff won't be quite so overwhelming and it will seem like second nature. You will find your brands that you use and you will be able to shop easily once again. I am a year into it and still sometimes I get a shocker or have a bunch of questions...

    Also, as suggested to me here, make a safe medication list and have those meds on hand. Many common OTC meds have gluten in them. Speak with your pharmacist about prescriptions as well as many use gluten based starches as fillers.     My daughter is only 5 so we still use Johnson's Buddies however I recently read here that Paul Mitchell is gluten-free as well as Dove shampoo and conditioner. I am sure that there are others. Crest toothpaste for Kids is Gluten free. Oral B is not. Make sure that your cutting boards are new, if they are wood or plastic there could be gluten built up...

    I use Tom Sawyer all purpose gluten free baking flour and an old fashion cookie cutter sugar cookie recipe. For the butter I use Fleishman's light margarine which is gluten-free, Dairy Free and Soy free.     Isn't that frustrating... I did a sleep study on July 24th and still haven't heard anything. I called my pcp and their ofice hasn't heard anything either. But don't worry the hospital that did the test was able to find the remaining balance and get the bill out to me ASAP!

    Oh I think this is the best answer! I don't have celiacs but do have fibromyalgia and there are things that I eat the make me feel worse than others.     We got the "goofy juice" as well. Katharine was already asleep when they gave her the needle and when they put in the IV. She had know idea what happened. One minute I was there holding her, the next nurses were giving her popsicles (cold for the throat) and mom was back with a stuffed doggy in a green purse named Murphy.     I have been reading quite a bit about rashes that appear in Celiacs over the last week. Many of them sound like the rash Katharine has on her butt. It comes and goes sometimes worse than others.     The moodiness and sensitivity sounds like Katharine before she went gluten-free. I tried changing the way I handled her as well but to no avail. Her stools were white, but we large instead of floating and we had the blood in the stool problem. Don't try gluten-free before the tests as it will give you a false negative.     Hi Sarah, Most major supermarkets and drugstores carry Gummi Vites. I get mine at Walgreens. It is a large bottle (I think around 120) for $10. I know that CVS and Rite Aid carry them as well.
