  1. meat seems to be one of the few things I can eat right now that doesn't bother me..we bar-b-que on a gas grill and have been eating lots of steaks. Even an extra-lean hamburger pattie has been tasting really good lately.
  2. I was extremely schocked when I found out my thyroid ws right on track, I haven't been this cold since my TSH was 119....
  3. Sorry I tried to find a thread about this...but I am in the early healing stages..it's has been two months since gluten free..anyway I couldn't stand it Saturday night and ate a bunch of salt-free roasted peanuts that I shelled myself, anyway by the next morning I felt like somebody had kicked me in the lower guts..... I have really been watching what...
  4. Wow, me too me too...had my thyroid rechecked as well and it is ok, on the right dose...but have been freezing this last 8 weeks off of gluten..that was always my big clue my thyroid was out of whack, I'd get so COLD..especially my hands and feet.....but even before I got off of gluten, the last 3 months since I have been having major D problems, I have been...
  5. I really appreciate your opinion, I have everything scheduled for tomorrow and am going to have it done, the colonoscopy is my main objective, I want the piece of mind that there isn't something else going on, even though I am quite sure there isn't. And if the biopsys are negative, which it sounds like they will be, well so be it. If there is nothing...
  6. Boy this is so me, I am always starving to death it seems..I can eat like a logger...I eat a meal and can still eat more. It has been worse recently, I thought it was because I have had constant D for 3 months and everything is just running right through me..been gluten free for about 2 months now and the D is starting to just barely get better, but I am...
  7. my Doctor was of no help in my quest to feel better, so two months ago I went gluten free and am now just starting to feel better...but I did have the blood work done about 3 weeks ago or so and of course it was negative...now I am having an Endoscopy this week, but I'll have it done anyway, along with a colonoscopy. My new Gastro Doc was sure enough of my...
  8. thank you so much, I have been checking out many topics..some make me laugh and some almost make me cry...but it is wonderful to know there are so many of us out here with the same problems...I just figure it isn't a life threatening disease if one takes care of themself...so I know I'll adjust...but I sure found out I need to stay away from peanuts for awhile...
  9. I ate quite a few peanuts last night...E-Gads..am I ever in pain this morning...I am just healing up..only gluten free for 2 months now and so many things are bothering me...they were roasted in the shell, so I know there was nothing on then, not even salt..but a really bad thing to eat and also popcorn is a big no no I found out... It is best to eat...
  10. I had nausea for a bit as well, it really scared me at first when I was getting sick to my stomach usually in the middle of the night, I'd even have to get up and throw up...that coupled with the explosive D I thought I was in the throws of something horrible and life threatening... I have had negative blood work and now going for a biopsy this coming...
  11. I love Zatarins rice, the Dirty Rice with extra lean hamburger is yummy and I use the Spanish Rice and add turkey links to it... but I mostly wanted to say, been only doing this for two months, and have had to cut out dairy for now, just a bit of milk in coffee is all I dare consume...I found out the hard way cheese is a big no no for me right now. I...
  12. Hi and I'm really new to this too...and my H is just awesome, he just goes along with whatever I cook and is more than willing to make adjustment so i don't have to try and make two dinners, we are both pretty much on our own for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is a big deal for us. It hasn't been too hard, been doing it for 2 months now...and I'm going...
  13. lol..I say that too...it's like 'hey it hurts when I hit myself in the head with a hammer..wonder what I should do about it'... 14. that is how I feel and let's face it we all want to rule out the big C.....I won't go see them again until the 20th I think it is, for all the results, but I will know some of them on Tuesday they said. and par 18, I really got the feeling that my new Gastro Doc was listening and thought I was on the right track in my thinking, but my regular Doc just gave...
  15. I knew years ago wheat was not my best friend, too much bread or pasta cause bad C for a few days. But three months ago we had a major family trauma, my step-dad died of cancer, I was constantly driving my poor mother 100 miles a day to see him in the hospital where he was for one month prior to his death..that is when my constant D started up, along...
  16. boy that is it in a nutshell, I am 54 years old and I know my body and how it works pretty darn well...and I know I am most def on the right track here.....I am having everything checked out on Tuesday, just for piece of mind if nothing else, but I will continue with the no gluten no matter what the test may show or not show.
  17. thank you for your reply and advice...and I have already decided no matter what happens with the tests, I am off of gluten for life...I think the proof is in the pudding, I am already feeling much better and I am going to stick with this.. I also had horrible bloating and major gas....and that has gone away as well...
  18. I agree, I am still in the early stages of getting better and just went to a fantastic Gastro Doc this week and he listened to my tale of woe and he thinks i am right on the money...i have already had blood work from my regular Doc, and it was negative, but I am having small intestine biopsies taken on Tuesday along with a colonoscopy to check out everything...
  19. Gee this sound just like me maribeth, I just made a thread in the wrong place..I put it in post diagnosis...but I am having my biopsy and a colonoscopy done on this Tuesday..I have however been off of wheat/gluten for 2 months now and I am finally starting to see a slowing down of my constant D...i am hoping something will still show up, surely if the villi...
  20. Opps !! Mods I see I put this in the wrong spot..should be in Pre-diagnosis... I have been lurking around here for a month or two.. I have had constant D for 3 months...nothing helps, Impodium, Pepto, or some high powered med..Diphenoxylate & Atrophine. Have been going to my regular Doc about once a week is seems complaining..had all the...
  21. I feel your pain..I am wondering the same thing and what's up with this bloating, it has been 2 weeks since I have any gluten at all..and keep getting bloated off and on...Hmmm maybe the mozzeralla cheese and the rice crackers weren't such a good idea..I noticed I have been ravenous lately, well since I started this.
  22. You have to sneak to the bathroom at work like you are going on a secret spy mission for fear somebody else will be in there or see you go in or come out... I have seriously thought of telling those people I care about that if they see me rushing to the bathroom, to save themselves and don't go in for atleast 30 minutes until the air clears. Or...
